who has MET Paul?!!!
-
Met him in Las Vegas, at the 5th anniversary of LOVE at the Mirage. Met Ringo here in February. Not bad for an Aussie so far away from most of the action.

I have this recurring nightmare that I actually get a chance to meet him, but he's in a fowl mood and tells me off, which always devastates me in the dream.
-
I have had dreams about meeting him in another lifetime but he had the harriest of leggs and I simply wanted him to wash them off when he came into the tent. love doris
-
My second cousin met him when he was working in a recording studio in New York as a sound engineer. Paul was there because James was recording an album. They weren't allowed to ask for autographs or pictures because it would be unprofessional. My second cousin said he positioned himself so he would walk past him and he said Paul was so nice and was quite short. He said Paul made small talk and asked him if he played any instruments and what school he went too. He said James wasn't so nice because he ignored everybody. I said isn't he shy and he said no because of the tone of voice and James slammed the door. Also one of the late Ravi Shankar's students who I talked to who played at the Concert For George(he played sitar during the Arpan) met Paul and said he felt Paul was arrogant. He said Ringo was nice and George was the best of all three Beatles. George was very private too he said. HE said Paul wasn't arrogant to him but he had a feeling Paul was that way.

Amoeba night after the show! I waved Hello Goodbye just as every other screaming fan did as his car drove off. Then suddenly I found my legs sprinting for his car. Oblivious to how ridiculous I must have looked at 40 years of age. Eventually 2 blocks further down the street at a stop light he rolled down the window! Maybe 2 fans and a two man TV crew made it. He signed a Ram album for someone and said hello real quick. We touched like a half hand shake, but that was all I needed. I touched GOD my friends! Though it was only a quick touch it was like a bear hug for me. Anyway at no surprise he was way cool about it. The only thing I could say at the moment was "I love you, my family loves you and thanks for all the music". The souvenir for me was the TV crew, the next day it made it to You Tube. It must be out there still, if not I have it at home somewhere I can post it. It's actually funny, you get to see our little mob running all the way up til where his rolls the window down. Fun night.
LOVE IT!

I'm 5'8" and Paul and I were eye to eye. When you hit 70, you tend to shrink some.

I've been lucky enough to meet him--very nice guy. He let me ramble on for a bit before he signed my arm. It wasn't during a concert, though! No waffles here...
I'll never forget that day!~ ops:

I've only met Paul in my dreams- but they have been so real & vivid... and before an actual gig.... lucky for those that have met him.....

Loved reading all these stories. I'm not sure what I would do if I ever happened to meet Paul. Probably freak out and act stupid.

I suspect Paul has always been 5`8-5`9" in reality. I don`t think he has shrunk. He has very good posture (it`s poor posture that usually causes the shrinkage).

Wow! Three inches. Well, he's in great shape. I need to get to the gym or at least work out at home. I've always admired his attitude. He doesn't get all huffy like lots of celebs when they get their pictures taken. Good natured most of the time. Probably much more so than I would be. They even snapped him and Nancy and his daughter and son-in-law in LA and the reporter didn't even know who Mary was. Called them friends. But, Paul is cool and collected.

Yes, unfortunately shrinkage is a fact of life, but I'm still having a hard time with 3 inches. That's a LOT!!!!
