When Press To Play was released in '86, the BBC broadcasted a special with a career overview of Macca. The special was just called 'McCartney'. I still have it on VHS, but I have no player anymore. I tried to find on YouTube, but unfortunately without succes... Anyone maybe got a link???

I was a little leery of the Russian link, but it plays fine on my iPad: https://m.ok.ru/video/1867778742

It's amazing how much McCartney material isn't on DVD or Youtube.

Wow. This is very revealing. Thanks for sharing. MTV in the U.S. did a similar special about Press to Play, but it didnt have his full interview. To hear Paul say that Broadstreet was really a 1st draft & that he needed help and an editor - & so soon after the film flopped - was shocking. Never seen him so brutally honest with his work.

He had help. Willy Russell wrote an entire script for him, but Paul turned it down in favour of his Broad Street notes.

I have this on videotape and used to love to watch The Helen Wheels bit and the parts where he sang Hi Hi Hi and Wildlife.

It was also commercially released on video tiled "The Paul McCartney Special". I have a copy and fortunately a player as well. The link below has details about the video. https://mcbeatle.de/macca/v/special.html

I always came back to the songs he was singing,
                              At any particular time
