I quiet like 'You gave Me the Answer', would do a swap for 'Magneto and Titanium Man' though!

I LOVE "Magneto and Titanium Man!"

Me too. Remember prior to the Up and Coming Tour (I think it was) rumours around it was going to be in the setlist? I think there was a photo of Paul at rehearsals and the song title or word "magneto" appeared on a screen in the shot with him. Alas...(insert Victor Spinetti quote from HELP!)

I was so happy when he sang it in concert in '76! I couldn't see the screen with the pictures of M&T though because my seat was on the side close to the stage!

You Gave Me The Answer? A must for terpsichory! Medicine Jar rocks! Spirits has not aged well. I could do without that. Medicine Jar is up there with my favourite Wings (non Paul sung) tracks. ...if only the album didn't end up sounding so tinny and compressed.

You made me look up the meaning of the word "terpsichory"!!!! Ha, that's going to be a hard word to memorize.

Interestingly (or boringly) the word was actually used as a song lyric! Frank's Come Dance With Me album from the 50's... "Hey there cutes put on yer dancin' boots and come dance with me... what an evenin' for some terpsichore..."

Well, I looked up my lyrics sheet for Venus and Mars, and there it was!.... I probably thought back in the day it was an instrument.... I was just a darn fool kid.

I saw Wings do Soily at McNichols Arena in Denver in 1976 and it was mind blowing! I had moved to the side of the stage Linda was on and watched the lasers dart over the audience and make the "W" symbol at the end. I was 12 years old!!

I was at Wembley,on the very last night of that 75/76 tour, roughly central and six rows from the front......and I was 17 years old. I'd actually forgotten about that W symbol until you mentioned it. ops:

Not if they didn't actually play any of the songs and just gave answers (trivia)

Ah, for the days when Paul would play a total obscurity as the final encore! I've always loved the bass line in that song.

Don't hold yer' breath: Macca is supposedly on-record expressing his subsequent disdain for the song.

When? I do remember once when asked about the lyrics he said they "must have been drug-induced," but the tone actually didn't seem that negative.

Yeah I've never heard or read comments from him that actually dismiss or disparage the song. Lyrically? Sure it's just a heap of "words." But so is Jet. Soily ROCKS and he knows it! (I bet his band love it!) If he can wheel out Hi Hi Hi and Junior's Farm after all these years... I would never discount it...it'd be a nice fit replacing Helter Skelter. But...(and reality kicks back in)... Nah.
