thanks for this news. man so many Paul McCartney's cd's for me to check up on. I think its going to take me thousands and thousands of years to listen to this man music. LOL maybe I will start here and work my way back to the 80's and 70's.
I would reverse it MacLover, start at the beginning and watch the process unfold! You'll be amazed. I can't wait for the mans new album! Bring it.

Totally agree with you Kapoo. Maclover...I didn't know you were a new fan! Yes...start at the beginning. His early years were FAB! (as are his later years...lol)

I think that was the time the "fake" list was going around. The last song had something to do with April Fools Day.

I think those discovering Paul's work for the first time should alternate from a relatively more recent album and then a much older one. And so on...
-
I will be sure to keep those suggestions mentioned above in mind. thanks Me listening to Paul's music for the first time is very exciting. and I cant wait for the new stuff as well.

I see Rod Stewart's new studio album entered the UK charts at number one. I guess this will put pressure on Paul to do the same when his is released. What do you think?

And then he plays me, at ear-zinging volume, one of the songs he?s written and recorded with Paul McCartney for his next album. It?s called ?Struggle?, and sounds like Macca?s greatest non-Beatles song. But that?s not too hard. ?It could be a defining statement for him,? Epworth says of their four-song collaboration, ?especially [considering] where he is in his career??

Where's this from?
-
It's from the London Evening Standard. Sounds promising.
-
Indeed it does, can't wait until the first reviews claiming this to be the "best McCartney album since Band On The Run".
-
I know what you mean but the positive feedback this time is not just from the McCartney camp.....

What a crappy -- and incredibly stupid -- thing to say. Seriously? : : : Just how many great non-Beatles songs does he have to write before he gets a smidgeon of respect from these fools?

I hate to think that Paul McCartney needs a co-writer, like he needs help writing a song. I want him to get the full credit, not half.

Lennon-McCartney McCartney-MacManus McCartney-Youth Well he doesn't need a co-writer. It's not about "need." It's about collaboration. Nothing wrong with that. And that's how Epworth works with artists --- as a co-songwriter.

What does a collaborator do? He helps another writer write. If the other writer did not "need" help, what is he there for? You can parse words and try to justify it all you want but it still won't give Paul full credit.

I'm not trying to justify anything. I just don't see what the big deal is. He's had collaborators before; why is that suddenly a bad thing?
-
I'm sure he doesn't need a co writer but sounds like the album will be 3/4 songs with each of the four producers - some 'solo' some with the band, some collaborations / co-writes with a producer and some not. Either way sounds promising. The feedback from 3 of the four producers has been very positive. The comment from the journo that it could be his best non Beatle song, and that's not too hard, is lazy and ill informed although lets wait to hear it!! Am intrigued by the producers comment about the song 'Struggle' being a defining statement at this time in his career.........

This is getting silly. Sometimes two creative people spark off of each other and the whole ends up being more than the some of its parts. I vaguely remember that happening with a Brit band a while back. What the hell was their name...? Beetles or something, I think.

so anymore "new" news on this?
