I am so jealous! My good friend's husband met Paul and Nancy today at the New England Motor Freight employee Christmas party! He was quite impressed by how nice Paul was, and had a nice little chat with him.

They visited there (or a similar place associated with Nancy's dad's trucking co.) last Christmas too.

Yeah, they seem to take turns visiting the different sites. My friend would always tease me in previous years about Paul showing up at the Christmas party, but it never happened. This year he wasn't expecting it at all, and sure enough, there he was! He greeted Paul with "someone's knocking at the door", and he said Paul's face just lit up. He then told him how that song was one his daughter would sing along with when she was very small, and it became a family thing all through the years. When his daughter got married, it was the father-daughter dance song. Paul commented on how that's one of the great things about songs: how people can take something from a song and make it their own. My friend also babbled something about "you changed the world", and Paul said, "WE changed the world." My friend is still shaking, and keeps mentioning how "humble" and "down-to-earth" Paul was. He also mentioned Nancy was instructing more tables be brought in so the mechanics could have a place to sit. So, they both made a good impression on my friend.
