Show should be over... anything to report?
Hi everyone, back from the concert. It was electrical, magical, everything terrific.
Paul was in top form, and did wonderful. Same setlist as Bossier City, Louisiana, except "Birthday" was sung after "Hi Hi Hi", in the encores, in place of "I Saw Her Standing There." Just before "Birthday," two fans that I met at "limo watch" were on stage, and asked Paul to sign their arms for tattoos. Another girl and her mother had their arms signed as well, before the others. About 1/3 through the show, just before "We Can Work It Out," Paul looked into the audience and read signs. He read a few, then read the one I'd written "Macca Makin' the world a little better since 1942" when he read it outloud people cheered, and he looked genuinely touched for a moment. I was so moved by this that I hid my head behind the sign, so I have no idea if he smiled or what, lol. Maybe there will be a video on YouTube. When he sang Queenie Eye and New, the audience really got into the songs. After Queenie Eye, he looked really touched and just looked at all of us for a moment, and then gave an approving thumbs up. When it came time to do "Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End" I had a sign prepared for the moment when he said, "There comes a time when we have to say goodnight" etc. and the audience says "Noooo..." At that moment I held up my sign that read "Don't Stop - Keep Singing - We'll Bring You Coffee!" But because the poster paper had a shiny finish on it, the lighting reflected on it where he couldn't see it... he just squinted his eyes and couldn't make it out... Anyway, I just quietly put it down and "Let it Be"
I was so happy with just getting the other sign read, that second sign didn't matter
I just held it up to make him laugh, because no one wants his concerts to end!
Two other things from the show I noticed that were different.... 1) Someone catapaulted black panties at Paul during the final bows, and they actually landed on his head for a second, then hit the floor
He was a pro about it though, and just ignored it and said his goodbyes as usual. 2) During "Here Today" he stood on a platform that was raised high in the air as he sang, with projected lighting / designs on the front. That seemed new to me, but maybe he's had the platform at other shows recently. If I think of anything else, I'll add more.

How great that he read your sign! I bet it'll show up on youtube.

Sounds like you had a great time last night...so nice to hear that! Congratulations on having your sign read by Paul!!

How awesome that he read your sign!!! Sounds like a great time was had by all. ONE MORE DAY for me!
-
Thanks guys!
Was such a magical evening that I'll never forget. Seeing him live is such a wonderful experience, nothing compares to it! From Paul's Twitter account (from site scroll down to see tweet) I was saddened to learn that the Westboro Baptist Church had signs outside the venue in Wichita protesting Paul, not sure why.... maybe for his stance on gay rights? I'm so glad now that I had positive signs for him like "We Love You Paul" and "Macca. Making the World a Little Better Since 1942" to show him lots of encouragement and support!

Where was your seat . . .since it sounds like he read everything you held up?

Oh, what a great sign LadyLeslie, I love it! I am so happy he read your sign, yes, if anyone sees YouTube clip of it, please share.

I was in the third row, in F1. It was interesting that in my section the people in the first two rows stayed seated for 2/3 of the show, and my row was standing, so it was like I was in the front row in a way, lol. There was a really heavyset tall man in front of me, and I was always glad when he sat down, because I couldn't see Paul! Anyway, I think it's because the first two rows were seated alot that he was able to see my sign.

Thanks, Apple Scruff! Hopefully it will be on YouTube, I'm anxious to see it myself, since I hid behind my own sign, lol. I did give him a thumbs up and a smile to thank him though, I do remember that, lol.

You're welcome, Seuss!
All the best to you tomorrow night with your signs!
I was distressed hearing that the Westboro Baptist Church was protesting Paul in Wichita yesterday, so the more positive and encouraging messages he can receive from us, the better!

Panties!
I know a Paul loving lady from Kansas!
could it be
I think I know who threw them
There was a very drunk blonde woman wearing all black who, before the show, kept dancing and shouting in front of every seat in the first three rows with a glass of something in her hand yelling "Peace and Love, peace and love!" I just told the kid next to me, "Wow, a drunk hippie, the ultimate '60s experience!"
and he just laughed. I saw the drunk woman was sitting in one of the first two rows, in the general area where the panties were thrown from, so I have my suspicions it might have been her, but shouldn't accuse without proof of course
She had stopped in front of me and said, Do you wanna hold Paul's hand? And I just laughed and said, "If I ever were lucky enough to hold his hand, it would be like Christopher Walken in the Dead Zone, I'd probably get an electric jolt or something and start making psychic predictions"
She was very drunk and just looked at me and said, "What?"
then said, "have fun sweetie"

That's great he read your sign! And you didn't know about what I like to call the "stupid little stage?" He's had that since 2013 and we all want him to get rid of it so we are closer to him during the majority of the show.

No, I didn't know anything about that stage. I've seen YouTube videos of him singing "Here Today" but they were never taken at an angle in which it looks like he was above the audience. I just thought that stage area was there for the special pyrotechnic stuff for Live and Let Die etc

and I'm so happy that he read your sign!
