WOW, now that's what I'm talkin about!!! What a GREAT tune....I remember that one so well. Just when I think he's all about the ballads, you hear something like that, and you realize what a great rocker he is as well. Thanks for posting ....just awesome!

Paul performing "Her Majesty" live QE2's Golden Jubilee 2002 Paul McCartney performed the song live from Buckingham Palace Gardens, June 3, 2002, as part of the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

I feel sick

He was actually criticised in the UK for doing this. It was seen in some quarters as disrespectful. Paul is known to be a Royalist, so he wouldn't have meant it to be disrespectful. I think he thought that it was funny.
-
I don't see it as being disrespectful. Sometimes the British are to stuck up for their own good. I don't see how you can have royalty and still call yourself a democracy.
-
The monarchy have no political power whatsoever- they had the good sense to give it up long ago. All the power is in the hands of our democratically elected government hence us being a democracy. The Queen is head of state but this largely involves symbolic and ceremonial duties. It also means our head of state is non-political - which has its advantages.

so in essence, you're spending millions and millions a year for an expensive welfare case. You probably wouldn't even miss them if England had the balls to get rid of them.

No,but the tourists probably would. The Queen has a very good sense of humour. When she appeared on Blue Peter, one of the presenters who was giving her her gold BP badge added cheekily 'You'll also be able to get into the Tower of London free now' * And she had a good chuckle at that. * all badge holders get into certain attractions for free.

If it was disrespectful i would have been all for it. They are a bunch of untalented wasters who have no idea of what is going on in the lives of the normal people. A group of around ten of us have been discussing what a disgrace they are only this afternoon. Paul should have refused the knighthood in protest at this familys hobby of shooting any animal that moves. As for tourists.....classic quip from Mark Steel at 1 min 15 secs

My favourite youtube videos are the One Hand Clapping performances of Junior's Farm and Soily. For me these versions are even better than the ones that have been released.I have always loved the songs but they sound even more rocking,Soily sounds even better than the WOA track, and i think that's terrific.Paul's vocals on both songs sound awesome, just shows you how magnificent his voice was in it's prime, stunning. It's amazing how this film has never been released in any form before.I'd love the music to be released in a Wings rarities box set, as promised around the time of Wingspan.Fingers crossed they will see the light of day.

Hi Hi Hi is on of my fav. songs from Wings.
However, it wasn't 1973, it was 1972. August 21 in Den Haag to be precise... . I was lucky to find a copy of the VHS where this was taken from. It's called Paul Mccartney Special from 1986. The whole OHC is just amazing..... -
I love that 1986 Paul McCartney Special --- first Paul VHS I ever bought and it has lots of video/performance footage and a great interview with Paul. Alternate take of "Band On The Run" from the One Hand Clapping rehearsals (different from the one featured in the film):
-
This interview with Paul was just posted on You Tube, I really enjoyed it. It's a good interview!! I could only find part one and two. (the video acts up a little half way thru the interview, but it doesn't last long ) part one:
(it's interesting the part where he says that he was looking for the other 3 when he got knighted. I always thought that photo of him showing his medal was sad 'cuz the last time he was there, he was with John, George and Ringo. But to hear him say that, made me feel sad for him ) part two: -
Thank you for posting this. I don't remember hearing this at the time so it is great to hear and see them now. Paul seems in a way different to now. Quieter! I suppose it wasn't really a good time for him with Linda's illness. But..lovely all the same.
