how do you purchase a soundcheck package during pre-sale?
-
The US VIP packages are being promoted and sold through Slotix: https://slotix.com/tours/paul-mccartney/out-there/ That listing has all VIP package details and that they go on sale at the same time as the Fans pre-sale. Martin

Other "advice": Understand how to secure the best seats: If you have a budget ensure you select ticket groups in that price range, if you choose "best available" - if an option - you might be offered excellent seats but outside your budget. You will cause a delay that will affect the seats offered to you. Understand ticketing servers are lightening fast, but customers are slow Within moments you may get "sorry seats are unavailable" messages within your chosen options. Keep trying. DO NOT GIVE UP. That message means all available seats in the pre-sale are out on offer to potential purchases, many of those offers will be declined or the purchase will time out or fail through card problems... They will be returned to the pool of available tickets in due course and your retrying will bring up an offer of seats in due course. It helps if all you need is to be "in the house", however fans will retry and reject seats over and again seeking best possible locations - it's a risky business but many attempt that and seats will return to be offered to you. Tickets will keep arising over many hours after " no available seats" are seen. Extra blocks may be released according to demand at any time - so again persevere. Understand pre-sale seats are genuinely limited and large numbers are really released when the general sale takes place - so consider that option if the -pre-sale fails to satisfy. If a pre-sale has tickets offered on the main site through Crowdsurge they have an allocation after which they will re-direct to the main seller - for example for Boston CrowdSurge have exhausted their allocation and following the pre-sale route now has you redirected to the Boston Redsocks ticketing site. If the ticketing agency is known consider pre-registering for the agency - then you can log-in as a user and save entering some details during the heat of the battle - even set up your credit card in advance if you trust the agency. Doing so will eliminate fumbled finger fails under pressure. Slotix have accounts, Ticketmaster do, as do CrowdSurge: http://www.crowdsurge.com/index.php?menu=custlogin One other advantage of setting up accounts is many of these agencies then add you to a mailing list for this artist and advance e-mails may be received in addition to those from PaulMcCartney.com - sometimes even other pre-sale opportunities... Finally, if you fail at the first pre-sale and general sales keep returning to the ticketing agency in the days and weeks leading up to the concert as blocks continue to be released - as "reserved" seating blocks are released by the groups they are held for - VIP seats, or other "package" promoters - even up to the day of the show - seats are often held back until sight lines can be confirmed after the "load in and the sound stage and relay towers erected" - the reasons are endless.... And it's all good for fans needing seats at original prices. Martin

at least you have to go to a college for knowing how to get a good ticket :

Just a quick question. When we purchase through the site, do we have to pay the fees? I think when I bought tickets for Wrigley 2 yrs ago I only had to pay the face value of the tickets, not any additional fees. Anybody know for sure? RamblinRed

It's probably impossible to give a definitive answer to this issue. With so many different credit card and debit card issuers, ticketing agencies and probably different contracts between CrowdSurge and the various venues and ticket agencies the situation may vary from event to event. Sadly the only certain method of dodging any charges is to pay cash over the box office window, a situation very few are likely to experience. And with the stress of the pre-sale it's unlikely few will have the opportunity to compare prices and fees between the various providers at the time. Various countries governments talk about setting a cap or legislating to make these additional fees more transparent but it's never a top priority. Martin

Hi guys! If anyone has any advice regarding purchasing tickets, I thought it would be nice to have a place where we can all share. This can be an overwhelming and tricky process sometimes, and it's nice to hear from those who have been through it and have some useful techniques. Thanks!
Be online ready to purchase the second the tickets go on sale. That has always worked for me.

Does anyone know the difference between Amex Preferred Seating and Amex Cardmember Presale? They both start and end at the same time, but there are separate links on the Nationals site: http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/was/ticketing/mccartney.jsp Which one should I use??

depends on what kind of Amex you have. Preferred is for Gold and Platinum cards. "Cardmember" is for everybody else.

I got my tickets for the Warsaw show through the paulmccartney.com fan pre-sale. I was redirected to crowdsurge.com and there were no additioanl costs/fees except for the shipping. In other words, I didn't have to pay any fees, only the face value of the tickets. Hope this helps a bit.

Is everyone occasionally getting the 'access forbidden' message when they try to open this site? I seem to remember that in the past, they brought the site down just before the time of the presale to activate the presale links.

Does anyone know if 9 am for Tulsa tickets means eastern time or central time? I don't know what "local time" means in this case.....

Do you guys know if you can pre-enter credit card info on Crowdsurge? I know how to do it on Ticketmaster, but can't seem to figure it out on Crowdsurge...

That has happened to me when my son and I were trying to but tickets to a previous Macca concert. We were using 2 computers. We had to keep changing the word codes because you couldn't read them, so it registered with TM as a lot of hits. I think it was access forbidden 403. I called ticketmaster and I was told if you access a ticketmaster page over and over again your locked out for up to 48 hours. Their reason was to prevent ticket scalpers. Believe it or not! Try another computer from a different location (HTTP403 Forbidden)

I purchased 2 tickets for DC and 2 for Austin...however...i hear there is a possibility of a show in Indianapolis. Can't wait for the next month or so - however - i would love to hit a 3rd show. It appears we are limited to 4 tickets through PM presales...do you know if that is per show or for the entire tour?

I got the same message... but then it hit me that I needed the VIP link instead so that took me straight to TM to purchase those seats.

I was getting it before I even got to to the page where you could click on Resale or VIP. The secret is, no matter what message you get, keep trying.

I sincerely hope everyone got their seats... when I checked at 3pm there were only $69 ones for Orlando left for the fan presale.

When I went online to get a ticket for Halifax NS I had only one problem..to select pick-up or mail delivery! I wasn't sure if my ticket would arrive in time so I chose pick-up, then realized I wouldn't be able to pick-up my ticket on the day of the show 'cause the show was on a Sat. and they aren't open on the wkends! And I couldn't do Friday 'cause my flight didn't get in in time to make it to the ticket office! So I had to book my flight to leave on the Thurs. before! Then I just hung around until the show..and I had no room, so I slept two nights on the commons before the show..I HAD A BLAST!! But I'm still upset about Pittsburgh..I had bought my ticket w/ a debit card for Halifax but for Pittsburgh, they wouldn't accept it! So I had to dash to the store and buy a gift card and by that time most of the good seats were gone! I was really lucky to get a seat halfway up and way to the side.. Save yourself a lot of running around if you don't have a credit card..buy a gift card in advance and of course sign in w/ the ticket site. I won't even try for crowdsurge.com they won't give me the time of day w/ a gift card! : Sorry if you have heard this story before but Halifax was amazing..I'd do it all over again..given the same situation and time.(I'm NOT 58 yrs. old anymore!) I was so knock out w/ hearing "Mull of Kintyre" *see signature ops:
