Later with... Jools Holland 22 & 25 October 2013

This is just in, played during the Later With... Jools Holland recording earlier tonight: 'Queenie Eye', 'New', one yet unidentified - new? - song, and boogie-woogie piano for Jools on - sigh - 'Get Back'.
-
Thanks for the update!

I always watch Jools, but will particularly look forward to this week.

Hope they have Jool's Holland on a recording, I'm going to a concert Tuesday and will miss it I've just had a listen to the whole album on a proper stereo! WOW now I have to get headphones! It sounded sooooooooooo good. Have been singing and dancing to them all day! Yay Paul! I am really into Road and Appreciate at the mo... I really love them all however

An extended version of the show, with additional material, is shown on Friday night - so good things really do come to those who wait!

I recall Brian mentioning to Dr. Love Songs on Twitter that they've tried playing I Can Bet together. May see that in the future!
Haven't heard that name in a while!!
Well, duh. It's your real name!

for whatever reason, I though Graham Norton had a longer version of his show too, but I completely forgot it was Jools that actually does this. Well thank goodness for catch up service

Just bumping this thread up to the top so nobody misses out on tonight!!!
-
bugger it clashes with Perception and the new Dracula thingy. Decisions, decisions.
-
does that sound like a nicked riff?
-
While Arctic Monkeys stole the show, McCartney sounded AND looked fab: 'New' and 'Get Back' with Jools Holland on inevitable boogie-woogie piano.
-
New sounded great, Get Back was boring and sounded pretty bad. Arctic Monkeys second song was brilliant, didn't think much of their opener.

Really impressed with how the Arctic Monkeys sounded live. Shades of Led Zep in their second song. Cracking version of New. Jools' piano playing was fabulous on Get Back (even better than Billy Preston on the original). Also liked Paul's more informal attire - bit of a mod look with the polo shirt. Looking forward to the extended version of the show on Friday night.

Will this be on some channel in the US?

Palladia shows episodes of Jools, but I don't know how many weeks or seasons behind the UK they are. I think the VH1 Classic channel carries Palladia stuff. http://www.palladia.tv/shows.php

Yeah, I too am pissed that we can't watch it online from the U.S.
