I remember Figure Of Eight being amazing live, and the single version is incredible

Anyone else like to see this brought back into the live shows?

Nah. It's an okay tune, but there's lots of stuff Paul's never played live I'd rather here if he's going to play a post-Wings obscurity.

I concur, there are too many others that should be performed before he gets to this one.

Live version of "FIgure of 8" is 100 times better than studio recording. So energetic and sublime. The song itself is so-so, but Paul's raspy vocals and solid arrangements lifted it so higher. Definitely it was highlights from the 1989-90 tour, and even one of his best live performances all-time.

Remember the single version is completely different from the album version and much superior. About 2 minutes longer as well and all the better for it

I'm for Paul adding any of his good, underappreciated Solo songs to the Setlist. He has so many hidden gems. As a big time fan of Paul's whole career, to add Beatle songs like For the Benifit of Mr. Kite and All Together Now at the exclusion of great Solo songs is crazy. I always liked Figure of 8. Not only does it rock, but I like the lyrics. They're meaningful and creative. I also think the "live" version is better than the studio. Thinking about good Solo songs, I always thought that Flaming Pie was one of his best Solo albums. Pie also got shortchanged from a "live" point of view because Paul didn't go out on tour with it. If you remember, Linda was very sick. I know that Paul did Calico Skies and the title cut from Flaming Pie on several of his tours but that was it. Two songs I would love to see added to the Setlist that has never been done are: *World Tonight * Young Boy I just think that Paul and the Band could do a great job on either of these songs and they are begging to be done live.

I think it could make a neat couplet to do Tug of War and Figure of 8. The tempos are different, but that could be dealt with.

Yep and remember this was opening song on 1989 tour.

                      Maybe I'm amazed !!

I loved 'FO8' when the album came out but when the tour passed and the album was listened to less, it kind of become forgotten. When I listen now I still think it's a great track but far from the throne I originally put it on. I remember 'Hope Of Deliverance' being released. I used to have it on tape and during break times at work I used to spend the duration locked in the toilet just so I could listen and listen and listen without being disturbed. They must have thought I was doing drugs or something lol. Anyway 'HOD' has kept more favourable than 'FO8', in my head. Although I loved both equally at the time.

If I had some more time to spend, then I guess I'd be with you my friend.
