Perhaps, I'm not to sure on the origins of the song. There is a longer version with no lyrics that came with the deluxe version of the remaster. I had to include these lyrics too, they get me for some reason. I think its the beauty of the song, the music and his voice throughout: DROPPING A LINE, MAYBE THIS TIME IT'S WANDERLUST FOR ME

Oh, where did i go wrong my love What petty Crime was i found guilty of What better time to find a brand new day Oh Wanderlust away Also the counter melody towards the end is masterful. Wanderlust is one of Paul's most beautiful and majestic songs. -

I can kind of see the point but its his voice and the music within the song that just take it onto another majestic level. -

I don't really see too much of a lyrically deficiency in the song, the lyrics are simple and effective, not simple minded like Paul can be at his worst, (Ebony And Ivory).
I do think the performance and the melodic genius of it lifts it to another level as you say. -
If we're truly talking "powerful" lyrics, then my choice is: Too Many People Preaching Practices Don't Let Them Tell You What You Wanna Be Passionate, political, angry, and right on the money, telling people to think for themselves. And some of his best lyrics about the importance of finding love: Ram On. Give Your Heart to Somebody Soon. Right Away. Sometimes the simplest most direct lyrics are more powerful than a complicated flowery sonnet.

So many beautiful lyrics to choose from. I've wanted to ask this for a long time but was scared of sounding silly but oh well...here it goes

Haha, sounds weird I know but I was thinking, can you imagine (guys) what it's like to listen to Paul's beautiful songs, voice, lyrics while you actually also think he's gorgeous, handsome, beautiful and all that? It's not that I think of that every time I listen to his music. I like his music for the music. But I must admit it happens during Calico Skies and "I will hold you for as long as you like" that I'm like "Sigh...I wish you would". And I guess you guys never think of that, lol. So sometimes it makes a difference to be a male or a female Paul fan. Hope this is not too off topic. Just all these beautiful lyrics you posted, some of them love songs, made me remember this question I've had for a long time now. -

It's not that I think of that every time I listen to his music. I like his music for the music. Paul has a very beautiful and versatile voice. When I hear him sing songs like Wanderlust or Calico Skies I get goosebumps, I sometimes cry. This man is my hero and I don't care what anybody else thinks.

I'm wonder sometimes, why Paul was so atractive, for males and females, and my idea is he can bewitch every one because he is a genius, I imagine for man is like a "model"... someone you think is worthy of emulation...and for woman...well... as you said he is handsome and cute..and a true genius in music and his great voice... Also I ask my self why some people hate him so much, and my only answer is that they envied him. He have a lot of thing who many people wants, specially his capacity for write lovely songs
