Wow! Great version, more grittier. Reminds me of the unreleased version of Rock Show. Girl's School has always been one of my all time favorite tunes. Why Paul hasn't played this live has always frustrated me.

"If you want the Beatles, go see Wings"-George Harrison 1974

"This is for all the Wings fans!" - McCartney introducing "1985" for the first time on American soil (Phoenix 2010)

that would have given London Town WAY MORE punch if it was on there with around 3 tracks removed, would have been a much better album..

It was a vastly superior rocker to the anemic "I've Had Enough".

I do recall that towards the end of Mull of Kintyre's long stay at the top of the charts, when everyone was getting thoroughly fed up with it, radio stations switched to playing Girls School instead. However, there were quite a few complaints charging the song as being sexist and obscene, so they switched back to Mull. I suspect that's why Paul has never played the song again. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever heard him refer to it. It is garbage though.

The lyrics are a bunch of porn titles that Paul linked together! I like the melody & riff - much more catchy than the similar 'I've Had Enough', which was put on the album & did poorly as a single.

I agree about I've Had Enough; sub-par - not quite sure what he was thinking. There are too many songs on the album as it is, so dropping it wouldn't have mattered much.

oday is the day Girls' School, and Mull of Kintyre of course, was released in 1977. I wrote a blog about Girls School: https://macca-news.blogspot.nl/2016/11/wings-forgotten-mega-hit-girls-school.html
