Diana Krall and Joe Walsh on KOTB
-
She is beautiful and looks great at the small aired concert. However, she did unbelievable mistake on the last track of the show...Paul laughs .. but it was very noticeable she got embarrassed. Joe Walsh was shaky on the two tracks (replacing Eric Clapton from studio versions) specially on "My Valentine". he was jumping parts and stroking the strings wrong on a couple of times. I wonder how a talented and creative player like him did that. he is very used to be spotted light on! is it Paul's presence? or just not practicing enough? I was watching the concert again enjoying some of the songs and you can't help not noticing these unexpected mistakes . wish Paul can do another similar show with his own Ballads from his solo carrier in a classical -jazzy mood. ( not including anything Beatles he did before live)

Well, that is live music. Even the most talented and experienced make mistakes in front of a camera or an audience. Paul has. His band members have. That is what makes live music so fun. If we want it perfect, we can listen to the recordings where mistakes and bad solos have been edited out and re recorded.

Maybe. but not if you choose a very well known professional artist for only two solo guitar parts!

All things considered, Joe Walsh is lucky if he can tie his own shoes these days.

I've seen Rusty mess up plenty of solos. Again, it happens! But ultimately those were Paul's choices and decisions. He only has himself to blame. I'm sure Eric would have done it. Or maybe not.

Doing a mistake is normal but being so shaky like Joe Walsh (I like this guy by the way) was not normal at all take a look at "My valentine" solo live and you will understand what I mean
BTW this live show is different than touring with a band these people are prepared for 1 live show that did not exceed 1 hour. like an orchestra more classy and very well practiced Joe has two tracks only to play at that night -

I dont find you funny at all. you always try to comment on others posts to show yourself as someone clever and others are not, this really pathetic and sick. this is Paul McCartney's fans forum .... we can write anything we like in a respective way... many make remarks, suggestions on his songs , play lists, this is how this small community works. if you dont agree with my posts then say your opinion in a respective way ... otherwise go find yourself another place to post. if you cant take the conversation in a friendly way I tried couple of times to get you in discussion in a friendly way , it is just a discussion! but its a waste, you are just an arguing person who wants to have a last word no matter what subject is. looking for attention.

...Your example video is not available in my country. Is this the same?
I think he was just "feeling" the music. -

Doesn't he sound like a beginner who cant find his way?! add some bad timing , and also forgetting last part of the solo. I like Joe Walsh, he is a very good electric guitar player, specially on slide guitar. but here he was not ready for that night for some reason. -

Uh, ok. Happy New Year to YOU!

BTW, I went and watched the video and Joe Walsh did just fine. Paul even looked over at him while he played and was quite satisfied, he made no face or indication he was displeased with Joe's playing on the song. I disagree with your assessment.

Geez, dissing Joe Walsh now. Anybody want me to list the MANY MISTAKES McCaryney has made live? ffs

How about we start with his very cringeworthy failed attempts at whistling in the same KOTB performance? Did he madly chew on some water crackers just before the show??!!

well, Everybody makes mistakes live no doubt about that. why is it different here in my opinion?? it is like a small orchestra show... everyone is well prepared and practiced for it...!! Joe Walsh is very talented well known name.. he was sitting for the whole show to do small solo parts in two tracks only! see the last track of the live show again and look how embarrassed Diane look after she made (one) note mistake ... she put her hands on her cheek feeling ashamed ! Paul smiles at her like (dont worry) . in such classical shows the players rarely make mistakes.
