Someone said that Paul's first guitar was an Epiphone

Nancy R:
And wonder what guitar this is that Paul is playing (circa late 1962/early 1963)
It's the one on the cover of Chaos and creation in the backyard! ''McCartney House Guitar: This modest Spanish guitar is seen in early photos and apparently belonged to McCartney's father. A panel of Jacaranda Club experts has declared it a Framus, model unknown. It was employed as late as 1962 (right) in a songwriting session at Forthlin '' - http://www.thecanteen.com/mccartney1.html

It's a small world after all, and it can still amaze.

Is Paul ever there?

Is Paul ever there?
God no! (I wish!) One time he did drive to Forthlin Rd. with Nancy (or maybe it was HM) and he passed the house with all the tourists out front and stopped down the street. He rolled down the window when some old guy came up to the car and said "Are you looking for the McCartney house? It's right down there!" The guy had no clue who he was talking to. Paul said (in relaying the story) "Have I changed that much?"

Nancy R:
And with a different guitar. John has the Rosetti here: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/njr/media/Paul%20McCartney%20and%20The%20Beatles/Beatles_1960_zps099ed2bb.jpg.html This is the post I messed up the info. Paul is playing the Rosetti Solid 7 in this pic. He took the pick guard off later (pic in the previous post) John is playing a Hofner Club 40. Paul is holding it in the famous pic of Pete, George, John, Paul and Stu that Astrid took. (the only photo of Pete taken that day) I'm looking at the photo on pages 40 and 41 in the hardback edition of The Beatles Gear.
This is Paul in the photo with the Hofner Club 40 strung lefty.

What did they use for the guitars on "Taxman" and "She Said She Said"? Was it the Epi Casino? And the FX?

Taxman Paul played lead guitar solo with the Epi Casino. She Said She Said George played lead, but don't know which guitar. What is the FX?

FX = Effects. Compression. Overdrive. EQ. Flanger. Phaser. Chorus. Delay. Reverb. Echoplex. And in later years, the crybaby, also known as the Wah-Wah pedal. Or like George sang, "I don't need no wah-wah".

Okay, I know that FX mean effects. (at first I thought you were talking about some kind of guitar) So you're asking what did they use and/or how did they do the FX? *still a bit confused with your original question*

You need some books: Recording The Beatles and Mark Lewisohn"s The Beatles Recording Sessions.

Think the Rosetti fell apart I read somewhere!
Didn't The Beatles stomp it to death on stage in Hamburg?
-
I am expecting a delivery of Beatles Gear. Do I need another one?
