Was just watching and enjoying this video of Carl and Paul so thought I'd share it here too.

WOW! Amazing! And Paul's voice was divine then at age 39.
-
Originally recorded in 1981, but the video was from 1993 I believe, so Paul was about 51 with a divine voice.

Oh, yeah, duh, you're right!
I am so tired right now! Sorry, only got 5 hours sleep last night.

__________________________________________________________ I had seen a much shorter version of this on a previous U-tube clip. You could tell that Paul was in a very emotional frame of mind with Carl singing those lyrics. He started thinking about John and I had read before where he had to walk away from the camera. My Question is: Carl talks about the fact that the song had really "hit" Paul hard and that John had died the previous December. I'm confused...was this video actually from 1981 when Paul had invited Carl to the Caribbean island or was it, as Prudence said, in 1993. Maybe the u-tube clip that I had previously seen was from 1981. Did Paul and Carl meet up again in 1993 and Carl started singing the song again with Paul joining in. Was this longer video taken from the same Caribbean island or was it at Paul or Carl's home studio. Thanks

____________________________________________________ After watching the video again, Carl is talking about the trip to Monserrat in the past tense where they worked on the "Get It" track. Looking at Paul on the video it does look like Paul circa 1993. It also seems like the 1993 video was filmed at Carl's home studio. Maybe Prudence or someone can confirm this. I think Paul was touring in the US so maybe that is when Paul dropped in on Carl. Do love the video!!! Another question... It says that the video was published on U-Tube 8/8/13. The notes for it are very nice and extensive. One of the things they say is that the other remaining Beatles (Ringo and George) were also down to Monserrat to help Paul on the album. Now I know that Ringo had appeared on several Tug of War tracks but I never read anything about George appearing on any Tug tracks. Do you think that George Harrison did come down to Monserrat or could that be an error. thanks

Video is from 1993 talking about working together in 1981. Then the last interview was 1997 with Carl talking about it again and Paul calls in the middle of the interview. You can see extended footage that came out as a documentary in 1998

I KNEW you'd pop in here with that!

The video was filmed backstage at the Liberty Bowl before his show here on April 27, 1993.

It's too bad Paul didn't put the tune on his Tug of War lp. It would have been a nice collaboration especially with George Martin producing. Would have fit the mood of the album perfectly.

I think they were getting confused with George Martin as there's never been any other indication that George Harrison was involved in any of Paul's recordings during his solo career..
