The New Album...

So we have heard that Paul's next album is going to be out sometime early next year, since EA was released we've heard that he's recorded tracks at Abbey Road in 2009 with Geoff Emerick and Ringo, He's recorded a co-write with Keith Richards, I think I heard he'd done some work with Dave Grohl, Youth and the Bloody Beetroots (I think that was their name) and also with Mark Ronson and Ethan Johns. Do you think he's going to include cuts from all of these sessions on his new album? I know he's usually got a few projects on the go at the same time but I just thought it would be a cool idea. Alot of diverse sounds and styles crossing over all of his territories of music? Mainstream, Classical, Electronica, Standards? Just a thought. Whatever it is I want it already.

I don't care what it is, I'm just ready for something new! I haven't been truly disappointed with anything he's put out since Press to Play, so I know I'll love his new album. Then again, I am biased!

Dear all, in my opinion it has been clear that Paul has not announced the release date to keep the entire concentration on kisses complete... Do you think that a release Date in Q 1 is still realistic? How Long in advance Chaos or Memory have been announced? Press notes with Epworth And ronson in Q3+4 could be a sign that they are still in the middle of the work And maybe Q3or4 could Even be realistic - horrible Long

Definite thumbs up yankeefan. Hope you are doing well. Also, my take is release one album early in 2013. Release a follow up Feb 2014, 50th anniversary of Beatles playing Ed Sullivan would be a natural tie in. Both should be rock/pop oriented new material. Then after if he feels like another fireman project, that would be fine too.

Not even sure what to think - at first we heard he had some type of classical guitar piece in the works, then something where he was working with his son, then that there would be a rock album (of covers) that would be released as an intentional counterpoint to 'Kisses'...and lastly, the standard 'new original Paul compositions'....I wouldn't be surprised if it were any of these...

Yah, as long as Richards doesn't sing. I read that Mark Ronson just said (Dec 27) there's one song on the new album called "Hosanna". Said it was just Paul and an acoustic guitar; that it was heart breaking and just gorgeous.

I like summer releases. Summer of '07 is a happy memory for me -- and whenever I play Memory Almost Full, I am instantly in a warm and fuzzy place.

Summer would be fine. Again, I think Paul should do a 1 2 punch. Release one new album in 2013 and one new one in 2014 as well. If he has enough for a double album, why not? And yes, I still use album as a term.

Summer would be fine. Again, I think Paul should do a 1 2 punch. Release one new album in 2013 and one new one in 2014 as well. If he has enough for a double album, why not? And yes, I still use album as a term.
"Album" is still appropriate -- as CDs, downloads, LPs, etc. are merely formats in which albums are available.
