Glad they both walked away unharmed. I have no clue what happened, outside that a helicopter appears to be involved
It was at night and the pilot got disoriented and almost hit the trees. He pulled up in time and ended up landing instead at a nearby airport.
6 months ago. If there was a story here we'd have heard about it then.

What were the other ones?
The only one I can remember is from 1966 during the US tour when the Beatles plane went into a stall on takeoff. Harrison recounts this in Anthology. Are there others? I wouldn't be surprised if there are more he's always on an airplane

Wow... glad to hear this turned out OK... how scary that must have been... I was on a plane once and it did that... just about landing and then all of a sudden, it took off like a rocket, straight up... I couldn't breath
Then we came around and landed... YIKES!! Good thing the pilot was paying attention...
