You've picked a good three, but it's a tough one to call, I'd throw in Helen Wheels, Letting Go and maybe Band On The Run because that song has all the elements of the "Wings sound" on one track.
-
Silly Love Songs
-
Tough one. Definitely something prior to the '79 line-up.
-
Venus and Mars/Rock Show
-
"Let Me Roll It" and "Jet".
-
silly love songs, junior's farm, Helen Wheels
-
Hi,Hi,Hi Venus & Mars Helen Wheels Soily Beware My Love ...
-
Little Lamb Dragonfly Big Barn Bed I Am Your Singer C Moon Jet London Town
-
Wings' signature tune is either Silly Love Songs or Mull Of Kintyre depending on which side of the pond you stand.
-
The Wingsy things are things like the slow bit in Listen to what the man said The wonder of it all baby yeah yeah yeah or even take it away the slow bit in juniors farm take me down

People seem to be mainly picking the most poppy songs here, and most suggestions are amongst my LEAST favourite Wings tracks. Wings are often dismissed as fluff by people who presumably only ever heard these tracks, but if you listen through the albums there are very very few tracks you could dismiss like that. For me: Wild Life When The Night Mrs Vandebilt Get On The Right Thing Tomorrow That's the Wings I love anyway! Although of course it's Paul, so I love the fact he's so versatile.

Wingsy-ish songs to me are more like the ones they played live. There are some great live cds of the early shows. HiHiHi

Yeah, the good thing about Wings to me is that they DIDN'T have just one sound. Most bands - certainly nowadays - do have just one sound. Coldplay, U2, for example - all their tracks basically sound the same.

To my ears, the quintessential Wingsy "sound" is "Mama's Little Girl."

Yeah, I'd be much happier to go with that than with Mull or With A Little Luck, but like I said, I think they had several distinct "sounds". Another thought: how about the final minute or so of the RRS medley?

Definitely.

"Listen To What The Man Said" is one song that can be "Wingsy" for me.
-
Magneto and Titanium Man - I love that song so I am a bit biased D
