I have just downloaded the Live Kisses film - a freebie for Premium members - and have got to say it's really good. The booklet also includes a fascinating interview with Elvis Costello and Paul - hints about the new album and a possible song that may be included. Mod Edit - We've tweaked the title as this seems like a good place to gather thoughts on this release - both aesthetic and technical....

I agree! I like KOTB and the download and booklet give great insights to the recording process. If the "goodie bag" for former premium members include more stuff like this, I'll be happy.

How to you get to the download. I'm a pioneer member and so far haven't heard a word from anyone about anything, only what I've read here.

They sent an email to all Premium members. I haven't downloaded it yet--did you guys do the large (2GB) DL?

It's a large batch of e-mails so they may be sent over a period of time. I haven't received mine yet, but remain confident I will in due course as I've had all the other main site e-mails etc. Martin

I wondered if there was any difference. Nope...there really isn't.

Ah.... BIG ALERT Google tucked my download e-mail away in the Spam folder. If you have a g-mail account as your primary e-mail associated with the site, go check your Spam folder. This is the first occasion anything from PaulMcCartney.com has ended in there and I will teach it immediately never to do that again Martin

Watched this now. Completely different to the off-air recordings of the show as shown live on YouTube. Completely different video edit to the live stream. Running time 1hr 15 minutes. Paul in conversations about the origins of the songs etc etc Nice digital booklet with a Paul interview, photographs, and song credits. Martin

I've brought this Q & A query over from another thread as it's bound to crop up here as well:

                          bentleysmama:

Well I just tried to download my freebie.I typed in the redemtion code, clicked on download and I thought nothing was happening,so I clicked on download again and a pop up came up and said I already had redeemedit! I looked everywhere for it,I don't have it!Now what do I do? I knew something like this would happen to me

Firstly you have the option of three different download codes so try another option. Then if all fails here is the Topspin Customer Support pages for Paul downloads: http://support.topspinmedia.com/categories/20022016-paul-mccartney-faqs Specifically Live Kisses Download questions: http://support.topspinmedia.com/forums/21356652-live-kisses-faqs If the FAQ don't answer your question then you may open a support question "ticket" they have the ability to reset your download access... http://app.topspin.net/account/help_public Martin

If you have lost your download...you can do a search... type in Live Kisses & it should find it for you. IF it is indeed on your hard drive.

I liked the live stream better, but I might be in the minority.

Have just received my Live Kisses DVD. It is beautifully packaged in a hard cover booklet. The menus on the DVD are easy to use. And of course the songs/music are excellent. It is well worth purchasing even for those who have the download.

I always came back to the songs he was singing,
                                    At any particular time

I actually would have preferred it if the DVD had the complete performance uninterrupted with the the in between comments separate. Even if this had meant having two discs. Still I think it is a great DVD.

I may be in a minority here, but I really don't like Kisses, period. I was rather disappointed that the live version was the first "goodie" offered to the now-defunct premium members. I like quite a few of Paul's side projects, but this one was a clunker for me.
