      JoeySmith:

Without seeing it, I can still confidently say its Paul's best acting performance of his career.

I am sure everyone will be able to see it online if the ransom is not paid. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/disney-chief-bob-iger-says-hackers-claim-have-stolen-a-disney-movie-1003949

It will still be released as planned. The hackers just threatened to release parts of it early. I heard on the news that they have done this before (hackers) & it didn't make any impact for release day.

Hackers are "knobs". Hate them. A blight on society. Will never give them airspace by downloading anything they cough up.

          B J Conlee:

          Get On The Right Thing:

he's the worst actor in the history of film. i hope he isn't in it. not that i'll see it anyway but just knowing he's going to be staring into the camera, as usual, when he shouldn't is going to drive me nuts.

___________________________________________________________ A very small percentage of people have a "natural" gift for acting like Johnny Depp. The overwhelming majority of people can't "act" to save their lives. As great of a songwriter and musician as he is, Paul is just one of those many, many people who can't act. To say that he is the worst actor in the history of film is a bit of an overstatement. Because he is so famous as a musician and person, he gets into far more situations out of his comfort zone than most and his non-abilities as an actor is far more visible. I liked the Keith Richard's cameo in the previous film so I hope Paul's is close to being as good. He doesn't really have to act in a split second cameo.

First, they should not be doing another "Pirates" movie but that is not Mr. McCartney's fault - lol. I am sure Johnny Depp thought this would be neat idea especially since he has appeared in a few McCartney videos. Mr. McCartney is not a natural actor but this is a cameo so no big concern.

          Maybe I'm amazed !!

always thought Paul could do a cameo in the Harry Potter series perfect fit two British cultural phenomenons for me I will watch the movie to see Paul think the Pirate franchise had run its course notice they advertise it as the last of the series

Well it's now out in theaters and I just saw it. How shall we discuss it while avoiding spoiling it for folks? New thread?

I just saw it as well! I think a new thread "Pirates of the Caribbean - Spoilers" would be a good idea so as not to reveal too much for anyone who hasn't seen it yet I'll go ahead and start it. One thing I will say here though is that there is an additional scene at the very end of the on screen credits... so as soon as you see the cast and crew being listed, stay in your seat and don't leave the theater just yet

Shhh, you're not supposed to reveal easter eggs! La la la, there may or may not be one.

Easter eggs Well, everyone can form their own opinion after seeing the movie... it's possible to get different interpretations 😉 I'd love to see Paul return in another Pirates sequel, if they ever have one

Lots of movies have after the credits scenes, like some of the X-Men movies. I knew ahead of time and wanted to yell out, don't leave yet!

From the review in my local paper, The Star-Ledger, by Stephen Whitty (who is a Beatles fan) titled "Dead on Arrival", 2 stars : "And while Paul McCartney pops in for a cameo, the fleeting moment ends up just being a further, clearer example of the film's cluelessness. Keith Richards' appearance, earlier in the series, made sense: Depp had partly based his look on the guitarist, and Richards has always sort of looked, and lived, like a pirate anyway. But McCartney doesn't look like a rogue and never has; even in his 70s, he still looks like the very best student at a second-best school, ambitious and eager to please. His casting here isn't just fundamentally pointless; it pointedly misunderstands the franchise's original attitude."

I think he could lighten up a bit -- I viewed Paul's inclusion as a cheeky follow-up to Keith's appearance, which does fit in the spirit of the franchise. Yet certainly a review of the film as a piece of cinema is going to differ from a diehard Paul fan's experience watching the cameo. I will say that, even as someone who enjoyed all the previous Pirates films, Paul's part was by far my favorite part, and the only part I'm really interested in re-watching (many times). The crowd in my theater -- including some apparently big Pirates buffs -- seemed to enjoy it as well.

So Paul doesn't buckle any swashes? That's disappointing.
