Can someone help me, here? Apparently, there's a song Paul wrote called "Hey Dude" or something like that. It's supposed to be a really bland song, something not particularly catchy (like most of his work
. I can't find it anywhere online to listen to. Can't this guy write anything that would get a stadium filled with people singing along to it? I mean, really. Anyone who can write something as upbeat and peppy as "House of Wax" should be able to write another one.
found it!!! they done this song during there psychedelic heavy metal period. Hey Dude

'Hey Dude' was evidently written after the response he heard from his illegitimate son, who was 8 years old when he first met him
Huh, and here I thought Paul didn't have any children. He's been known for his anti-family and anti-marriage stance, what with being a bachelor for the past 40 years. Some folks just don't believe in love, I guess.
You see, I didn't even know that much! Over here in the UK the media seems to have virtually no interest in his private life: just the occasional reference to his music. They will insist on respecting his privacy
: . Would be nice to hear about his love-life (or lack of it!) occasionally, though...

And whom cares about his sentimental life?, I never see media are wondering about this topic...

Yeah, the media didn't even asked his opinion about the death of his bandmate John.

His bandmate Jon died? Sorry to hear that.
-
Yes, I read that somewhere, again the media didn't noticed it, there was no news report about it. No one actually knows the cause of his death.

F**K F**K F**K you have just ruined 6 weeks of planning for my next series on my blog. It will have to sit on the shelf for a while now. You're like bloody Rod Stewart!
[PSM does deserve the credit for inspiring this thread. The idea was originally planted in my head by a very simple 1-sentence reply he gave on some thread on this forum several months ago, which just said "who are these beatles you speak of?" That's the whole thing there, in essence. Talk about high concept! Sorry for ruining your blog series, Plastic. Let me know if I can repair the damage in any way! Anyway, continue to ramble here in this universe. Part 2 is coming soon, with a separate parallel universe to explore. PM me with any ideas for other parallel universes.]

What about Paul last hits?, there is his ballet album Ocean Kingdom that has taken the music world by storm. Now all the rock and pop artists are into making ballet albums. From Rihanna to Metallica. Critics say it has become the most influential album ever. People dresses like ballet dancers on the streets and start dancing everywhere. Ballet's the most popular thing today. I prefer his last pop single, the massive hit Meat Free Monday. The world has followed Paul ways (it's usual now, not in the 70s or 60s, you know...) and Paul has leaded a transformation into people more conscious about what they eat!. Some other artists have found inspiration in Paul's song and have written similar tunes like U2's "Monday happy Monday" or Lady Gaga's "Eat this way". Paul launched a contest about creating songs about the topic. His offices received so many submissions that they're supposed to be never able to listen to all the stuff. The facebook profile of the organization said they listened to my song and like it a lot. From that day my life is full of paparazzis, the media wants to know about that guy who seem to be liked by Paul himself or Paul organization!. Some major says they're gonna make a big star out of me. I've heard that when that band Paul was in the 60s did something similar, kind of pointed people to some unknown musicians they liked, there was virtually not attention for them, even thought Paul wrote a song for them. But they had a ball from getting that feedback from Paul, they knew he was talented in spite his little fame in the 60s. The band were The Rolling Stones, who in the end made it in spite of the Beatles poor efforts. There are some rumours that Paul's Meat Free Monday organization is collapsing because of financial problems, like people spending money out of control to support artists and project like mine, they're all about supporting new artists, I think they have created a record company and they call it Microsoft Records or so. Microsoft has allowed the use of their name as long Paul's new company never sells software.

yes, and nobody wrote not even a song about him as his death, not even Paul or Elton John, Queen... truly underrated. Especially after his death. He was more famous than Paul in the 70s though, but his death was the start of Paul's massive popularity.

The funny thing is we would know even less of this 'Beetles' thing and other parts of Paul's career before it took off (of course with the hit radio show Oobu Joobu) if not for a 'tell all' book by some lady named Jane Asher...who claims she knew Paul during his life before fame and doesn't seem shy dishing out the dirt

Heard that band called Queen supposedly made a song about a Bohemian guy with a raspy voice or something...sounds kind of 'blah' to me...no wonder I never heard of it

The sims 3 or like games is a way to reinvent the Beatles or an alternate like universe. Only the characters kind of take on a different life all their own. love doris

what about Maccamania? He is so popular now that when Paul changes his haircut, for instance, then most of the bands change it too and people follows, so you can see people with mullets, moustaches, long or short hair depending on Paul hairstyle. Same with dressing. Or with anything else. Musicians waits for Paul's next release and then do an album in that style. So after Electronic Arguements most musicians got into making an album with the similar concept. Just like in 2007, after the groundbreaking hit "Dance Tonight", mandolin became a must in all the radio hits. Maccamania reached his peak in some week in 2008, where 7 out of the 10 records of the top 10 were Paul hits, and the rest were influenced by his sound. 1. Sing The Changes 2. Heal The Pain (ft. George Michael) 3. Nod Your Head 4. Viva La Vida - Coldplay, very influenced by the Fireman 5. Jenny Wren 6. Single Ladies (Put Your Ring On It)-Beyonce ft. Abe Laboriel Jr. on drums and Paul on the ukelele. 7. Ever Present Past 8. Dance Tonight 9. Fine Line 10. I Kissed A Girl-Katy Perry, mandolin chords-based folkie pop hit

I thought Paul was dancing in that one!

Does anyone know if the Beetles (really? silly name) broke up? I can't seem to find anything about it. Apparently it wasn't a big enough deal for the press to write about it, so I imagine that no books were written about it.

Good question! I've done a bit of digging and apparently what happened was that it all happened very quickly, efficiently and amicably. I'm not exactly sure about all this, and my sources may be wrong, but apparently this Jon Lennon guy wasn't so hot on the music side, but he had a lot of business savvy, so he was able to set everything up so that they were all able to go their own separate ways without involving the lawyers. Of course, no one was bothered about them staying together by the latter days anyway, and the public who did get to hear them were much more interested in their solo efforts, so they just split up and everyone was happy.
-
Wondered if all this was a clever ruse to enviously disparage our King of the music world, but I'm tired of being disapproving all the time
and much of these rantings-with-relish are rather witty and engaging, and ingenious
it appears at first glance. Might possibly stir up a portentous storm in my brain pan and produce a nervously tentative contribution of my own, a bit later-ish. Will think on these things in dreamland. Later gator
After a while, honey chile (and will try to relinquish resentful sullen spite and bile)
2: in favor of amusingly inventive guile
like you guys.

Anyone bothered to check out any records by this old beetle band of Paul's at all? I managed to get hold of an old album called "Yellow Tambourine" or something, and it's not actually that bad.
-
Hard work trying to drum up any interest in this old Beetles band of Paul's. Everyone's just obsessed with his solo records, but I begin to think some of his old stuff was actually alright too. Came across an old track by Paul called "I'm Down" which gives us some insight into how deeply depressed he must have been back then.

On the other hand, some songs like "Yesterday" and "Blackbird" are really pure rock'n'roll-songs. His greatest ballad of that time is "Helter Skelter".
