I just checked Amazon and my account says Ram is "shipping soon" and is supposed to arrive on Tuesday. And because I am a total dork, I decided I had to prepare for its arrival. So I have dusted and rearranged my Beatles book shelves and found a lovely spot for the Ram deluxe issue to hang out next to its buddies: the deluxe issues of BOTR, McCartney, and McCartney II. Come on Ram. Your momma's waiting for ya.

Since my copy of Ram hasn't shipped yet, I know I won't get mine on tuesday but I hope to have it later in the week.

I wish it was happy ram day! Mine wont ship for upto 72 hours. Just went mental in an email to them! When I'm paying that amount of money I expect a lot better service!!

Oh yeah, happy RAM day everyone! Think my box will be sent today so hopefully I'll have it tomorrow. Just bought and listened to Eat At Home/Smile Away Live & Uncle Albert Jam off itunes. Great quality on both of them. Uncle Albert Jam is a fun little jam as you'd expect. The performance and sound quality of Eat At Home and Smile Away was just awesome, imagine if Macca would do those songs live today. I'm sure it would sound even better because of the bootlegs I've heard of the first Wings tour I don't think that they sounded so good together.

hard to believe it will soon be 40
Only the other week I was reading about the Apollo 16 mission which took place between 16th & 27th April 1972. It occured to me that Loup (1st Indian on the moon) was probably inspired by the event, as the Red Rose Speedway sessions were well underway at the time. It was then that I realised it was 40 years ago. Its a pity this Ram release wasn't ready this time last year as a 40th anniversary issue would have had a greater promotional impact than a 41st anniversary.
Macca's not pushed the boat out with much promotion for the a archive collection, I guess if they were all called Band on the Run it might have been a different story
