Don't know if this is of interest to folks, but Denny Laine is playing a show in Londonderry, NH in January. I'm expecting more Wings songs than you'd find at a Paul show ( :lol, and for a lot less! Just played $30 for a 2nd row aisle seat. Here's the information if folks are wanting it: http://tickets.tupelohall.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=468 All in all, looking forward to my first time seeing Denny!

Yes, you probably will get more Wings music from him. I just got a DVD about Deeny. It was an interview that I think we had posted on the board here...was it youtube? Must go look...

It would be funny if he plays mostly Moody Blues songs.

I saw him earlier this year and interviewed him as well. He sounds GREAT live. He did a good number of Wings songs. "Time To Hide" sounds great live.

Personally, I prefer it when Denny plays his solo stuff, from all the obscure albums that are so hard to find. He did this in Glasgow 2008, and I was the only person there who knew all the material )

Just watched all 22 parts of this recent interview with Denny Laine. He covers the entire Wings span, if you will , very interesting and I dug his amicable attitude and complimentary attitude towards Paul and the group. well worth watching I'd say. One omission I was disappointed was not mentioned was the groups working on McGear. and of course I though it would have been cool if he talked more about Lennon a little bit, never a mention. but then again I suppose why would he.. no real need. Good interview with Denny starts here

its like trying to catch the sun on the water..

Well that's within shouting distance of me...I may have to make the trek (I think from Framingham, MA it's probably a good hour away). My daughter may even want to go. What's the chances we'll get to hear Go Now? (j/k...LOL) PS - the only former wings member I've ever seen perform was Lawrence Juber and his acoustic guitar work was just phenomenal...enough so to where I now believe Paul badly under-utilized him during the Back To The Egg period

You can hear more of LJ's stunning fretwork on recent Al Stewart albums such as "Sparks of Ancient Light" for which he was the producer. Al Stewart is one of the world's greatest living singer songwriters, if you haven't gotten into his stuff, check it out today!
