Just met Paul

Congratulations! I would die if I met Paul! I was super excited that he answered my question this month...But to meet him and shake his hand would probably make me faint or cry

I went inside Crate and Barrel and my sister couldn't understand why my hands were shaking. I was going to text my brother but it was something like jstu mt pakl mcartgtyy. I saw him with Nancy twice in one day back in December and both times froze.

My sister once seen him with Beatrice in a play area park in London. It was years ago and she said he looked miserable. She text me while she was in the play area with him and I replied to go over and speak to him, put him onto me lol. But she didn't want to. She said nobody approached him but it was obvious that the 6-8 other adults in the park knew who he was and she felt sorry for Paul because they were all staring at him. And I think a handshake is better than an autograph.
He was probably miserable because he was going through the divorce with HM. (A hug & kiss on the cheek would be enough to last me the rest of my life and I would die completely happy!)

Kinda messes up your texting abilities huh?

Congratulations! I have wondered how I would react.

That is incredible. I don't know if I'd be able to string two sentences together. As far as the autographs, I've me some celebs who will only personalize autographs because it reduces the resale value when it's made out to someone specific. With someone like Paul McCartney, it probably wouldn't matter though. Plus, taking the time to personalize each time he had to sign would be a pain in the arse too I bet. Oh well, just meeting him for me would be a dream come true!

It was below freezing and during an ice storm...so I don't blame him at all. I will hopefully see him again when its warmer!

No, I of course don't blame him at all either. Not what I meant to imply. I was simply saying I know a lot of celebs who will ask you things like "who can I make this out to?" because when it's personalized to a specific person, it makes it less likely to wind up on eBay vs the generic kind. Either way, what an incredible run-in.

Maybe not threadworthy on its own, but I thought it was worth mentioning that when Paul came to Regina back in August, my little brother was the personal bartender to Paul and his entourage after the show up in their room at the Hotel Saskatchewan.

I asked him again since it had been a while since we talked about it. I guess he didn't really get much chance to interact with anyone, just mix drinks. He mentioned that Paul was drinking "these big martinis that couldn't have possibly tasted good, there was nothing but alcohol in them".

I was struggling to maintain the function of my lungs so was struggling with things to say!! I actually had a copy of new that I'd just bought in urban outfitters and asked him to sign but he said he doesn't do that anymore. I don't blame him given they all end up on ebay (mine however would never leave my wall if I got one)
Wow! Confirmed again, Paul has class. Congratulations, by the way for meeting him and thinking of something coherent to say (which I probably wouldn't!). When I met Peter Asher at AROTR, he offered to give me an autograph at the cookout, but I told him truthfully that I don't collect them. To me it is a rude custom. It's like asking someone you've just met to work for you ... or something. Anyway, that's just me. Each to his own.

Yeah, if I met Paul I would rather have a hug & kiss on the cheek than his autograph. A photo with him would be the ultimate icing on the cake, though.

Does he give away kisses? LOL. I'm in line, then.

Yeah, I noted that too. Did Paul have a rough day?

I'd love to meet Paul, hug him once and just say, "Thank you." I don't expect to get a hug back. But I do know if I were to meet him, it'd never be that smooth. I'd say something stupid.
