No Words

No Words is simply the best song ever performed live by Wings and by far the best Wings song ever

That must be why it's your screen name!

Funny, I've always thought of No Words as the proverbial "weakest link" on BOTR -- not bad, certainly, but not especially memorable. On my list of favorite Wings tunes it probably wouldn't make the top 100.

It's OK but there are other Wings songs I like better.
-
It's a good song.... but sits a fair way back on anything resembling spine-tingling or a differential or monumental.... a good #8 track on any album.

The nice thing about a live version is that you get a proper ending rather than a fadeout.

.I'd love to hear it live again they could really milk the ending

I love the vocal effect they used on the '79 live version

It's time No Words was put back into the setlist

Well, the Band on the Run album as a whole is the only post Beatles album that's given the same relentless live treatment typically reserved for Paul's Beatles work...so why not add 'No Words'... Other than that, I have 'No Words' (or opinion) for this topic

...and Denny Laine back on stage to sing it with him.
