How do we know the author is young? ... For absolute sure?... Didn't Rodney Dangerfield go back to school once?

sorry to be a bit of a downer, but even if it does hold importance to younger people, unless its not covered with synthersizers and a young "Disney " artist ( all the boring new artists are just Disney cutouts even if they try and say there not), the young " cool" group arnt gonna hold much importance to it since 1. Paul uses these "magicial things called...instruments! 2. bit hard to say to a younger audience a 71 year old is as cool as the Jonas brothers also look at how the guy has written the article. You can tell hes basically was just like I was: a young beatles maniac ( or to try and be cool, I would say ive been infected with "Beatlemania") whos tying to say " Yo, cool kidz, the beatles are rad!". He should proably know by now that dosnt exactally work... Plus one thing that annoys me, in the article, he says this. "No need to be jealous, except that you have all the reason in the world to be because I have seen Sir Paul live." Your dead to me... But, if he didn't make it so DAM obvious that he was a Beatles fan, it actually might have some importance! but it still wouldn't result in much...

We'll get Paul back to Oz again! I've got a feeling..... (I say, whilst rubbing on a bottle I found on a beach which could very well contain a genie called Jeannie) So, I hope you get a chance to see Paul. I was lucky enough twice in '93. At the MCG! As for your comment, "Paul uses these magical things called instruments".... ha ha... I many times say to younger people (and I am talking people well in their 20's), "oh, you might not like Paul McCartney, he plays this thing called a guitar, and there are drum sounds that haven't been manufactured by a machine... and the lyrics aren't vapid or contain swear words". Keep the faith, I reckon Paul will announce something to Australia soon.

I like the fact that the reviewer, a student at Ohio State University, mentions Turned Out in the context of the best songs of this album. Can't understand why that one wasn't included in ALL editions. As for what the best song on this very rich album is, that's impossible to say as it is akin to hitting a moving target. At first, I thought Queenie Eye, then I moved on to Early Days, then Appreciate, then Turned Out and now Scared is really getting to me. It's just a cornucopia of riches that is coming across my Bose speakers as I type, best enjoyed when I don't get hung up on what is the best song.

Thank you for reminding me that I actually saw Back To School in the theater! Well -- time to be deprogrammed again.

Ha ha... I waited for VHS for that one! 1986 was a good year for Twist and Shout. Ferris and Back to School

Why did "New" marketing go after the young people first, is it mainly because they buy loads more music than older people? Does Paul wish the Beatles would take over the world again pop culture-wise, through them? Sort of like Mormons want the world inundated with Mormons, and Catholics with Catholics, etc. I don't think it's that, he knows the heights or ultimate heyday of Beatlemania has passed-- he loves his music exposed to new generations and to be appreciated by them, by fresh, "new" hearts and minds. That kind of thing. Older people can still be young in heart and in their minds, and look a lot younger than they really are. But the youths seem like gods and goddesses at times, don't they. Joely's "New" review is gratifyingly positive and special! And yes, she's a college student.

Haha I know what you mean. I am 22 and have seen Paul numerous times, not just one time at a Bonnaroo Music Festival. Joely needs to chill lol I don't go telling people "no need to be jealous" over my experiences, and if I wanted to I could have "went there." But no, I don't go there.

I never cared what the so-called cool group thinks. They're a minority anyway and any business that caters to them fails due to them being a small part of the population

"I don't like you" "I'll get over it"
