Paul McCartney & Taylor Swift sing 'Shake It Off'
-
A news report on the subjetc:
-
I quite like Shake it Off ops:
-
Just listen to Pharrell's "Happy" rather than Taylor Swift's vanilla knock-off of his song.

It's not like Pharrell's "Happy" is all that Chocolate either. It's from a kids movie. Unfortunately Pharrell has sold out. :

Then that only validates my assessment of "Shake It Off."

Oh dear, the press these days... "A guy on stage with a beard and a hat! Gotta be Sean Lennon!" . It's not him.

Seems like Jimmie Fallon would've mentioned Sean.

Because it doesn't look like him.

Seems like Jimmie Fallon would've mentioned Sean.
Agreed. He would not have missed that opportunity for even bigger publicity.

No mention of it on Sean's Twitter or Facebook pages. I don't think it's him.

Taylor was on the Tonight Show last night and spent a fair bit of time talking with Jimmy Fallon about the after party. They really gushed on getting to play with Macca. Swift said 'that the reason for all the guitar lessons, ... that's the moment'. Fallon called it one of the greatest experiences of his life. Basically Jimmy was already on stage with Paul when he got Swift to come up. She asked for a guitar and got one. Then Macca said were doing I Saw Her Standing There in E. After that Swift did Shake It Off, Jimmy was amazed that Paul knew the song. Given that Macca has an 11 yr old daughter, i'm not surprised he is pretty well versed in modern pop music. I have an 11 yr old son, so I get a fair bit of it. I think Macca also just likes music and probably soaks in alot more than most of us do. RamblinRed

It's not a difficult song. Any bar musician could "jam" it. McCartney is a cut above, a real natural. Probably breezed through it. In fact, he probably helped invent the chord changes in the song!!

He reacted very similarly on an English TV show recently when asked about Katy Perry's music. He started singing some song of hers. He could also have been briefed knowing she was on the show. He stated that he sings it with his daughter.

Note to self: Do not have any daughters in the foreseeable future.
