If Paul does any shows next year, what do you expect to see in his setlist? Based on the setlist from Desert Trip... Do you all think the number of songs from NEW will be reduced? Do you think "Day Tripper" & "Jet" will return? Do you think "Why Don't We Do It in the Road" be something more than a time thing? Just some thoughts... Keeps all speculation reasonable. I'm honestly curious what you all think.

I think he'll pull "Tell Me What You See" out of the vaults. It's mostly him, and has never been done live. Could easily be done, but probably wouldn't stay for the whole tour. I think Temporary Secretary is done. I think he'll replace it with a different song. Maybe a new song, or I could see him moving Save Us to that spot. I think in 2017, we'll get either Queenie Eye or New. Not both. Most likely Queenie Eye... I could see him tossing a song like Let 'Em In or C Moon back into the set. Soundcheck stuff. I'd love to see Mrs. Vanderbilt come back, but wouldn't place any bets. Bluebird I'd say has a chance. I'd love to see something like Spin It On, but it won't happen. I also think we could see something like My Brave Face or Figure of Eight for a couple shows when the Flowers reissue comes out. I doubt they'd stick for the whole tour, but they're recognizable enough that they're not unknown to casual fans. Both did well commercially. I wouldn't put any money down on it though. I think in 2017, he'll find a good Beatle song to open with. I suggest I Want to Hold Your Hand, It Won't Be Long or From Me To You. I think out of those, FMTY is the most likely candidate. As much as I really want him to play something like I'll Get You or Another Girl again, I'm rather doubtful. I think Good Day Sunshine or Penny Lane could finally see a return though. To answer your questions, Road will not stay, but will likely be sound checked frequently and occasionally make it into one-off or benefit shows, and maybe proper arena shows once or twice. Day Tripper will likely stay, probably in the first electric set as we saw last month. I think Jet will hop around the set a little bit. Might alternate with something- maybe Hi, Hi, Hi if it stays or whatever the second song of the show is. Save Us and New will not be heard in the main set likely. In replacement, he'll add some new songs and also maybe Alligator once and for all. Macca setlist are a strange thing. They are incredibly predictable, yet at the same time, incredibly unpredictable. Who would've thought 5 years ago that we'd hear Lovely Rita, Another Girl, Hi Hi Hi, Listen to What The Man Said, Eight Days A Week, Things We Said Today, Temporary Secretary, All Together Now, We Can Work It Out, Another Day, and Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite all in one show? Not to mention, Looking For Changes, A Hard Day's Night, Your Mother Should Know, One After 909, Love Me Do, Why Don't We Do It In The Road?, I Wanna Be Your Man, and You Won't See Me. He always surprises us...

He needs to do What You're Doing, which I think he could handle vocally. Tell Me What You See would also be good. I think Figure Of Eight is way too high and might sound terrible. Paul rarely listens to anyone on what songs to do so I doubt he'd listen to us. Wish he would!

My Brave Face and Figure Of Eight will be great! But he should play Girls School, it would be incredible, nothing less!!

I always thought "I Want To Hold Your Hand" would be a fantastic "opener". Would love to hear him do "Hey Bulldog" on bass!

Would LOVE to hear more songs from the last 30 years. His voice may be able to handle some of them better.

I need to hear Martha My Dear, Smile Away, Girl's School, London Town, Ever Present Past and Maxwell's Silver Hammer.

"If you want the Beatles, go see Wings"-George Harrison 1974

"This is for all the Wings fans!" - McCartney introducing "1985" for the first time on American soil (Phoenix 2010)

All of those I think are reasonable. All highly unlikely, but reasonable.

For me he will add "Maxwell silver hammer" and maybe "Martha my dear". No "New" song in his setlist but probably some songs about new album. For the wings era I bet on "Warm and beautiful" and "Helen Wheels". For the solo years "Waterfall" and "Young boy".

Do you think he'll change openers and much of the songs for 2017? I was thinking the setlist for 2017 would be similar to this year's setlist (unless I missed something about this tour ending?). If it's the same tour, I don't see why he'd change the opener. If he were to add in some new songs, I agree that some already mentioned would work nicely (Martha My Dear, Tell Me What You See, Maxwell's). For new additions, how about bringing back For No One? I think that'd sound good. I'd love to hear Pipes of Peace, With A Little Luck (wonder why he hasn't done this one in such a long time), Every Night, Bluebird, Venus and Mars, Come and Get It, Michelle. Free As A Bird would be pretty neat too imo. -Rubber Soul13

I think Warm and Beautiful, Waterfalls, and Helen Wheels are all 100% reasonable. I'd love Free As A Bird as a fresh tribute to John (and George really). Could play along to the isolated john vocal/piano live. Would be very powerful. I'd love to see For No One come back... Would be fantastic. I want to see Your Mother Should Know return as well. I think the setlist might look something like this (assuming it's not a 1 on 1 continuation)- I Want to Hold Your Hand Jet All My Loving Junior's Farm Save Us Let Me Roll It I've Got A Feeling My Valentine Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five For No One Maybe I'm Amazed And I Love Her Tell Me What You See Things We Said Today And I Love Her Blackbird Here Today Queenie Eye Warm and Beautiful Your Mother Should Know Lady Madonna Something Eleanor Rigby Free As A Bird Band on the Run Back in the USSR Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da Coming Up Let It Be Warm and Beautiful Live and Let Die Hey Jude Yesterday Helen Wheels I Saw Her Standing There / Birthday Golden Slumbers Carry That Weight The End

One on One tour isn't ending. He specifically said at Desert Trip that it was the last "One on One" show of the year (2016), meaning it will continue into next year. Also, With a Little Luck has never been done live. He rehearsed it with Wings for the 1980 tour, but, of course we all know what happened...

The last tour went on for 2,5 years with the same core setlist, the tour before for almost 2 years as well, this tour had only gigs in half a year so far... The only change he's going to do next year is something among the lines for Desert Trip: beaten down 2002-2013 setlist staples swapped with same category songs.

He is not very adventurous when it comes to set lists. Occasionally a real good when gets put in but more times than not he only adds 2 to 3 new songs. Which may contain songs that he has done before. Depending on album release, I'd expect something from new album

The last tour went on for 2,5 years with the same core setlist, the tour before for almost 2 years as well, this tour had only gigs in half a year so far... The only change he's going to do next year is something among the lines for Desert Trip: beaten down 2002-2013 setlist staples swapped with same category songs.

Just curious, why do Europeans write 2,5 instead of 2.5 to mean 2 1/2? Never could figure that out.

Hm, in my language the dot would refer to a different version of a type. And we could never warm up to American ideas on temperature and dates ;)!

What do you mean "a different version of a type?" Do you mean that a dot means something else to you? In mathematics it is used all the time (2.1, 2.2, 2.3, etc. etc.) Like 2.2 + 2.3 = 4.5 And I gave up on temperatures and dates a long time ago!

Haha, I can see why! It would mean a sub-version, if that makes sense, like the new iOS 10, being 10.1.1. I obviously always try to adapt to the correct rules of the language I'm speaking, and I didn't really know this was a difference, to be honest! (For example the French have an extra space after punctation marks, and some incorporate that in English language as well, which I would personally never do.) So I mean, I guess it will take another month or 2**.**5 before we maybe get a tour rumour or two ;).
