hey all... i see how aged this thread is... but i think this is the best place for this request... does anyone have, or know where i could get.... a photo, and/or information on the live 8 take-off of the sgt. pepper cover that was on the big screen behind paul and U2 for 'sgt. pepper'? i thought it was cool, but we see so little of it during the clips.... just wondering if anyone has a shot or a good tip or two on follow up?

Hmm, I don't have a clue about that, but I wonder if my friend Alix got a pic of that, she was there, but I don't know how far back she was. She usually takes tons of pics wherever she goes. Rhian might have been there too. They both live over there. Rhian was at AROTR, did you meet her?

i DID get to meet rhian at AROTR, altho i don't think she knows who i am.... ...she was on my floor. we talked thursday afternoon while checking in, and i saw her probably at *least* a dozen times in the hallway... and you know a lot more about my personality than she does, so i'm sure being so friendly in the hallway probably freaked her out a little... i'm guessing... i can't believe that i can't find that artwork or a legend or at least SOME info on the media screen backdrop for 'sgt pepper' at live 8... it was awesome, and i would naturally assume people would want to share it.... which ties into another opinion i have nance.... and here it is.... don't you think that such things, ie - that art, live performances by some of our favorite AROTR bands, and related items ....should be made MORE available?? because, if i'm not mistaken... doesn't the art of that kind then take on the "tree falling in the woods" kind of thing..... ie, if no one hears it or enjoys it.... etc... of course, with THAT said, i better get my plans in motion to at least create a listenable record of my own catalog... OOPS, there are europeans that read this, soo.... my "catalouge" ...

Oh, there is stuff out there from the tribute bands. This year at AROTR I bought a DVD of Instant Karma's performances at the Cavern in Liverpool last summer, some good memories for me. Most of the bands have CDs and DVDs available for sale on their websites. At AROTR 2003 in Cleveland, they sold 3 CD sets of performances of most of the bands. I guess it wasn't much of a moneymaker though, so that was never done again. I could burn you a copy of that if you're interested in hearing it. -
hey, i'd love to hear that, i think... altho, maybe you can instead just email me your catalog of stuff and we'll see what we can see??? i'm sad today. i wanted to post a video of me doing a billy preston song saturday night, and i cannot chop the thing down enough to have it fit into a managable size enough to send, or post anywhere.... (make frowny face with pouty lip)
