It was a bit chaotic yesterday. I'll re-start the CM4K Turbo program.

"There wasn?t any particular player I modeled my game after. I tried to learn from everyone and create my own style. I studied past players. Truth be told I never had a favorite player. It?s just not my nature to go around idolizing people. I just go try to learn." -Magnus Carlsen

Nah, Magnus Carlsen is my favorite. Why? Because he doesn't look like a chess grandmaster, he doesn't speak like a chess grandmaster and his playing style seems simple to me, yet he is the highest rated player in the history of chess and his rating continues to soar.

Th chess4real.com domain is now obsolete. You can download SCID @ http://scid.sourceforge.net. I'm still using version 4.3 for Windows as I'm on XP and using the default 800 x 600 screen resolution.

"Having the initiative, controlling the tempo of the game, was my comfort zone. Quality also important; did not care much about material." -Garry Kasparov

The "obnoxious" Garry Kasparov published a series of books called My Great Predecessors putting his name above the past masters as other people say. I think he even put out one volume focusing entirely on Bobby Fischer. Soon he might publish a different book regarding Magnus Carlsen called My Greater Successor.

Just so you know, there will be an upcoming movie about Bobby Fischer, starring Tobey Maguire, called Pawn Sacrifice.

For Bobby Fischer, chess is life. For me, chess is just a mere pastime.

For me, chess is something that other people enjoy. And it's okay with me. I'd rather not be one of those anti type of people (especially the anti-smokers are itchy bothersome these days. Non-smokers (including me) are alright, those who just don't smoke themselves ) who likes to destroy the joy of those who like something other than myself. :

                            Paul Morphy - The Greatest:

"Permit me to repeat what I have invariably declared in every chess community I have had the honor of entering, that I am not a chess professional player - that I never wished to make any skill I possess the means of pecuniary advancement - and that my earnest desire is never to play for any stake but honor." -Paul Morphy

I still prefer playing Magnus Carlsen's games. Paul Morphy's games are fantastic but they doesn't suit my taste. Morphy might be the most brilliant chess player who ever lived but let's face it, his opponents are weaker than any average modern player today. Modern chess is definitely better than the "old school" chess.

There is a mobile version of SCID that is available on Google Play. You can now play PGN files anywhere. I think I'm gonna play Bobby Fischer's games.

                                  I'm tired of Fischer's games. I'll try Kasparov's.

I realised if you have SCID On The Go in your mobile phone, it is only fitting or timely to play the current world champ's games.

Without being predisposed to combat Mr Carlsen's opinion, I think algebraic notation was introduced to remind everyone that chess is calculation more than intuition.

Permit me to declare what I haven't declared yet to this community of Macca fans I have the honor of entering, that I like the Play Magnus chess set. Hypothetically speaking, Mr Howard Staunton, if alive today, I think would be desirous in playing these latest model of chess pieces and might eventually discard his own.
