I think it's great .. Paul gets a chance to meet fans .. fans have a wish fullfilled.. don't let one bad apple spoil it for the rest.. just saying~

I think it's a fun part of the show..but Paul's security is just going to have to be weary of who to choose.
I have a feeling there won't be people invited on stage anymore for a while.
Which makes me really, really sad. Sigh.
aww...now he will prolly come really close to you & no one will get called up.
-
times like this remind me of this!!!~
-
i got a MPL Tattoo that i made a year ago,you think i got a chance just to sign my guitar??
-
It's time for it to end if it goes the way the most recent one did.
-
Ok folks I said long ago that I thought it was a bad idea to bring a fan up onto the stage and I hope to god Paul now realises this too.
-
I said it way back in this thread and got reamed over it. Nothing like what happened in Amsterdam had happened. I hope Paul and his staff now realize it's time for it to end.
-
... ahhhhhh Hopefully Paul won't let one person disway him.. really ~
-
To be honest, I've never experienced anyone to be called up onstage, but if I did I don't think I would really care for it unless I knew the person. I don't think it's exciting, fun or anything like that. I would just be waiting for the next song to start. It's time to put a stop to it now. It's predictable and doesn't have the shock factor that it once did.

your opinion doesnt make you right either, and personally i agree, i dont pay a lot of money to watch someone i dont know meet Paul onstage, i would be happy if he stopped doing these PR stunts and got on with the gigs.

I think it makes more sense to call fans on stage during SC, instead of the actual concert. (like I was in Detroit) You are with these fans all day, and to us it's very exciting (and sometimes disappointing) to wait to see if you are a fan chosen by Brian. I am worried that thanks to the one on YouTube, meeting Paul on stage might end....and that would be a shame because those few minutes are a PRICELESS and never to be forgotten.....

The soundcheck makes a lot more sense, for sure. However, then you eliminate the chance for fans who can't pay the thousands of dollars a soundcheck costs from getting to meet him. I think one fan every few concerts (when the mood strikes Paul) is fair enough. In Montreal last summer, he brought up about five people each of the two shows, and it was a bit over-the-top, however the crowds both nights were phenomenal, so he was in the right frame of mind to share the love. If he wants to, why not let him? It's his concert after all.

There are already enough complaints about the fans who attend sound check getting to do this and they have sometimes been the ones selected at the concerts also.

There are complaints about more important things about his shows right now, though. Presales, a stagnant setlist, etc. I'd rather those be addressed first before we start asking Paul to stop making some fans' dreams come true.

yes, and maybe he should just do a meet & greet for the soundcheckers...then more would save up to experience THAT...maybe....maybe not. serious...he could at least give out autographs there.
-
yep, they could arrange for that. and have them all signed & he could wizz by on a golf cart & give everyone high 5s.
