The time is nigh! Waiting outside the arena right now, already bought some merchandise (a white tee, keychain, 2015 program). It's hot as heck out here but I was able to find a nice place to sit in the shade. Looks like the line is forming now for people waiting to get to their seats! So excited!

Now, for the full review!... The city of Charlottesville was certainly milking this opportunity for all it was worth! There were signs all over town and campus. The shops were all loving it too! I even managed to snag one of those handy not-so-little signs on the side of the road with that famous "out there" photo of Paul with his arms in the air on it... We JUST made limo watch, like by a matter of two minutes. It was very difficult to find here, I thought at least...though plenty had found it. Saw Rick G. of course and chatted with some fans I didn't know, but were certainly regulars! Anyway...it was a scorcher...I mean brutal heat waiting for the doors to open. Got my girlfriend (for her first Macca show!) the same shirt I got in Philly (it looks great as men's or women's) and matching keychains to boot! We also got to finally meet and catch up with Gina and her husband outside the doors The doors opened at 6:45 tonight, showtime was approx 8:15. "One After 909" was the only first-timer for me...and very exciting indeed!!! I wasn't expecting it all...I hope Paul didn't drop "Listen to..." because of my comment on here Sunday night! "Got To Get You Into My Life" was also a real treat as I hadn't heard that since Summer Live '09 tour. It was a delight watching my girlfriend experience all of the things I now realize I take for granted in the show. We all know about that! Anyway, just a few rough moments for Paul throughout the night...actually, just one. "Maybe I'm Amazed" was downright bad. The vocals were simply bad and he has to know it. I've never been displeased with the full performance, but tonight...yeesh. It needs to be cut. The audience was not NEARLY as lively as the Philly crowd. I can't even nail down the bathroom break numbers because swarms of people were in and out all damn night. It was incredibly annoying...and the talking. Oh. My. Lord. Regardless, it was an amazing experience as always and I don't regret a minute of it! It was such a joy to experience it with someone new...and I can't wait to make her a returning fan like me! See ya next time..... 2:

Poor "Maybe, I'm Amazed". He wants to sing it so bad. Gee, plenty of other songs he could sing to Linda. Yes, he SHOULD cut it; I hope Nancy will convince him of that. Glad your girlfriend loved the show, Wix Rocks, but sorry the audience was so dis-respectful. She didn't need to see that! Was Temp. Secy. still there?

Excellent review!!! Summed up very well! Also, it was great to finally meet you and your girlfriend after all these years! I hope that the concert experience becomes a tradition for the two of you! Also, I just now realized after reading your post that he dropped Listen to What the Man Said for 909. I was pleasantly surprised with 909 and certainly was not expecting it! But I do miss Listen to What the Man Said. Also miss Get Back, but Another Girl is an adequate replacement! Anyway, all in all, I thought the crowd was a bit lifeless. Many sitters..not much dancing. Fortunately, we only had 1 drink runner in our aisle and he only got up twice. I sat next to a Paul McCartney concert newbie and it was so fun seeing her react to the whole thing. She was a sweet lady who had such a good time! I told her to soak up every minute of her first Paul McCartney concert, because it is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Very thankful I was able to squeeze in 1 show this summer, and especially glad it was at the cozy JPJ Arena! I was very impressed with this venue. Great experience besides a little debacle I had with one of the security ladies at entry who would not let me take my poster in at first as she said it was too big. She kept telling me "I'm telling you.. They won't let you have it .. You'll have to give it up here at the door." I ended up asking her nicely if she would get someone else to see if I could take it in after explaining that I take it to every concert with no problems. Another security man inside said it was no problem at all, and no one said a word after that. I didn't even hold the sign up more than 4 times and Paul did acknowledge us the one time, so I'm glad my persistence and politeness worked! As for the signs along the road.. #freeposter #collectorsitem So glad we snagged one BEFORE the show because traffic was insane afterwards, plus, it seems that others had the same idea and I have a feeling none were left! Well, it's certainly time for some Golden Slumbers. Tiring day in the heat.. But well worth it. Solid show as always.

Thanks for posting the setlist. Looks like the single encore is sticking although the number of songs during the encore varies.
