Anyone here follow college football? Favorite team? Some folks watch for the football, some for the cheerleaders, we watch for the marching bands.
We are currently watching Nebraska vs. Wisconsin. The snow is coming down, a tuba player is pumping out a tune in the background, and Wisconsin is kicking some...

I watched the last half of that game after watching A Hard Day's Night.
Boy, was it snowing!

Funny you mention Nebraska...although I'm a product of the NE part of the US, I'm also a military brat and spent part of my youth during jr high and high school in the Omaha area (actually Bellevue, where Offut AFB is located)...seeing how the entire town (actually probably the entire state) would shut down during Saturday afternoons was very cool - I don't think there's a fan base for any professional team that matches the intensity of some of the big school football programs. This was back during the Osborne years....I've been a fan ever since, despite falling on harder times in more recent years. When it comes to pro sports, I'm mainly an all New England based fan, although when it comes to football, I'm both a Patriots and Buccaneers fan (because Tampa/MacDill AFB was another stop for our family while I was a kid)...I'd probably root for the pats if the two teams played each other, and in the early 2000's, it was pretty cool to see the Patriots win 3 three superbowls in a 4 year span while the Bucs won during the one year the Pats didn't win

Agree and often the intensity is overwhelming!

You would love it here in Wisconsin, Anita. Great football and lots of snow!

What else could one possibly need?
Throw in the Brewers and TCM, and I will be all set!
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that you are spot on, Dave!
There is definitely a move north in my future, probably Maine where fireplaces and generators are a must - LOVE those Nor'easters!

Throw in the sausage/hot dog race prior to the Brewers games and you're all set...LOL

Of course, better than football would be a Macca concert at Lambeau. I'm still waiting for confirmation of that rumor.

June 20, which should not be as warm as his last time here, when it approached 100 degrees. As for college football, my alma mater is having another good season. Off on another Paul tangent: I was perusing NIU's bowl possibilities and noticed the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl. Wouldn't it be cool if Paul could play there next year in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Help!? http://www.bahamasbowl.com/the-game/about-the-popeyes-bahamas-bowl/
