Sean Lennon....Friendly Fire album....
Like Julian Sean has talent.....it's just escaping their dad's bloomin' gi-normous shadow....... Love the song 'Would I be the one' by Marc Bolan (T.Rex)....love Marc. Thanks for these, Dave hon! ! Love Sean..when he hits those lower range notes it's so reminiscent of John....love it! I also checked out those JOHN interviews you posted last week on another thread and they were heart wrenching to say the least. I so loved the fact that he was living in New York ....my old home town...it really was so exciting for me to watch his life unfold there and then the unthinkable happened

OMG David ...that was great!!! What a great tap dancer he was .... he was my brother's favorite....so nostalgic to watch. I use looooove to tap dance when I was in dancing school!!

Lordy Claudy..... You and me could be twins, if I wasn't already twinned with Moggy, and small industrial town in western Albania, that is famous for making cheap, environmentally friendly toilet rolls.... : I went to tap dance school one night.......and got lumbered with Hagrid in a dress, who had three left feet, one of which was a club foot, she had breath that could strip bark off trees at one hundred paces and kept looking at me in a most perculiar way leerily saying...'if only I was 50 years younger, you'd be a bit of alright!'.... Needless to say I scarpered from that pit of a dance studio and never went back. I tried the Saturday Night Fever Disco dance stuff too.....and even though I had the tight clothes, the cute hip wiggle in my spray on trousers, hair (ah hair, those were the days... ) and the looks I was devoid of any real coordination and was generally to be seen in the clubs of Newcastle and London lying on my face in a heap 30 seconds into 'Jive Talking' or 'You Make Me Feel Mighty Real'.....from this position I'd see the woman I was with already making her way towards the powder room or some other bloke..... : Now?.....I cut it better than most of the young ones. My wiggle is still there, problem is that now when I stop wiggling my flesh keeps going......

Aye up David M.....you are so funny!!! Yeah, you and me twins ....I think that might be true. We seem to like a lot of the same things and even your music pics are right in keeping with my faves most times too Wow, that Jimmy Cagney tap dancing made me think of my tap dance recitals at the Brooklyn Academy of Music which is now referred to a BAM, and is considered THE HAPPENING PLACE to see all kinds of great performers and artists, and my ex is the sound engineer there. I would love to see a show there and go up to him and say "hello". He would be shocked Paul Simon was there not long ago and I would have loved to have seen him. Plan to take a trip down in the Fall to visit my friends and hopefully I'll get some tickets for a good show PS......So you still got that wiggle, huh?? Hmmmmm.

Claudia611 Hiya Hooded Clau..... I can see you now as one of the hoofers in Chicago on Broadway, modestly donning a long, chunky, terry towelling robe to cover your sussies and basque...... I miss all that to be honest. I enjoyed working in the theatre.....just no security, constantly looking for where the next pay cheques coming from.......as opposed to my wonderful career and financial security now.... : The best part?.......all those gorgeous dancers in their skimpies and parading their thrupenny bits all over the place.......all those whirling tassles..... I'm jealous of the trip down. I need to visit New York and have a gander at all of the art, theatre and stuff. Why? Coz I've never been before. It's one of those things you have to do isn't it. It's my49th on 3rd October (tomorrow isn't it.....I'm lost with the days this week) so perhaps this time next year for the big one I could be taken. Knowing the much put upon she'll see it as an opportunity to take me and leave me there......sensible woman!
-
Aye Up David Michelson.... Davey Doves.....I had to chuckle when I read it was your birthday tomorrow, cause that makes you a LIBRA, doesn't it? Not only are we twins, but I am a GEMINI and according to the Zodiac, LIBRA and GEMINI are the perfect match!!! too funny!!! PAUL and LINDA were the same combination!! Oh, and yes, you must visit New York sometime .....you would love it there!. If you could possibly go around the Holidays that would be the best....the lights, the decorations, and the store window displays are truly magical, not to mention the hustle, bustle of the crowds that all make for a truly WONDERFUL CHRISTMASTIME!!
-
Happy birthday for tomorrow David Anything planned ? I am going watching three very good beat combos tonight
now with added Marr i dont think enough vids have table tennis in them the last two are from New York....i think. -
Claudia611 and The Moggy Thank you v. much for the birthday wishes.... you're a couple of kind old soaks..... I will, as per usual, be indulging in some beverages served by some buxom lass in the centre of Belfast having been blessed with taste buds that can only stand so much falling down water (after three pints I slope off home, generally about 9pm, like the sad old git that I am). I can safely roam the streets without falling into the gutter like some. I will be given my present from 'er indoors when the bloody thing arrives. It's late thanks to the wonders of internet sh-lopping....... : My son, ever the thoughtful one has already got his and not left until the last minute like his ma. Lord knows what he's got me.... Because of our location and the sheer expense of posting stuff nowadays the rest my pressies will be of the paper variety, all sporting the Queens head. Apart from hitting the high spots of Belfast we're starting to smell a certain aroma eminating from our posterias thanks to the lack of activity with regards extension of contract with the National Truss, who are too busy reorganising their organisation to give a monkey's about the collections and heritage in their care, all they are in favour of these days is making MONEY!! Perhaps my son has bought me National Trust Monopoly... .......CAN'T WAIT!.. : Gemini and Libra. What about Hairy Aries? The much put upon is one of them Aries types and we get on like a......copy of Paul and Heather Mills most days...... As for a perfect match, well that'll be a first for me. I have this unerring knack for choosing the woman who'll cause me the maximum of damage and then having a relationship with her..... I'm too soppy that's my problem. New York is a must...... .....Christmas would be great if the tour companies over here don't hike the prices too much. I will start dropping huge hints all overt the place so the wife, not the quickest of souls at picking up such things, can cotton on early enough to find a good bargain. She's been dozens of times, staying at fancy hotels and travelling over first class coz her ex was loaded. I'm not holding my breath. I'll probably get a trip to Redcar if I'm lucky and if I pay.....or the wife will see it as the perfect opportunity to divorce me. She always said she didn't want to be lumbered with an old fart......

Wishing U A Very Happy Birthday David!
