American Idol 2015

OH NO... a Brit friend of the Beatles Tony Bramwell claims AI has been canceled "everywhere"--I enjoy this music show 98% of the time--what else bad is gonna happen today? I hated last year when the girl with the purple streak in her hair was voted off, loved her singing and demeanor, and hate that Rayvon Owen was ousted--I won't miss things like that about the show when I get upset over such-but considered the show a lotta fun

Grand Finale "American Idol" got off to a smashing start with Fall Out Boy and sequed stunningly into Tyanna Jones and The Jackson Five" who danced and sang up a storm (the entired show rocked, show casing a variety of music and dance styles)--Nile Rodgers appeared next with Sister Sledge and disco "We Are Family" and a number from "Chic" featuring Nile Rodgers. Tyanna Jones and Jax sang "Good Times." "Let's go old school" Nile Rodgers called out, with the "ladies Top 12." Fun to see Ricky Martin stride out looking fetching in a white suit and black tie and plunge into "Mr. Put It Down" with more great dancing, then his Salsa sounding hit "La Vida Loca" which got everyone's blood circulation going still more stimulated joined for "She Bangs" by "the boys of Idol" this year-- "Ricky sounds like David Bowie" I wrote for some odd reason. "The Cup of Life" with Ricky with the top 12 guys provided more stirring stunning hot Latin Salsa. Ricky look mighty cute. Adanna Duru performed with Janelle Monet. More good dancin' and sangin' by a host of high steppin' honeys and hunks. Good stuff. Then "Back It Up" with the fast movin' and groovin' Prince Royce. Then Jennifer Lopez joins in with Pitbull on a flashy number. Joey Cooke does "Cool Kids" hit with "Ecosmith" Uh Oh the chick lead singer doesn't sound great "Live" not like she does on the recording where her warbles sound somewhat stronger. It's announced that J-Lo will open at "Planet Hollywood" in Vegas in the near future. She's a hard workin' hootchie mama, really works it, a star for years and years in several mediums. Keith Urban performs his "18th number one (in country charts)" and sounds, looks, plays and looks good. Supposed to be in the top two country gee-tar players along with Brad Paisley. Hot. "Makes love to the microphone," LOL Rayvon Owen and Jamie Fox are on next! (to be continued)

The two honey smooth hunks perform "In Love By Now," a lovely sensitive ballad love song. Jamie plays piano. Wow. Very talented. OOPS, can't read my notes in this particular section. Darn it. Clark Beckham perhaps said "you have to be good at a lot of things" (?) and Ryan Secrest said something about Hollywood. Clark's mentor at home was Pastor Jim while Nick Fradiani's was Rick Abraham (?). They were each given a new Ford Focus by the show. So were the top two, of course, Nick and Clark. All were shown thrilled and beaming, the mentors were present as well. Was heart-warming. Little wonderful Daniel Seavy, 15, performed with New Kids on the Block and sang and danced as well, was enjoyable. Danny, called the "newest kid on the block," did "Step by Step" and "The Right stuff" with the band. Quentin Alexander who I think is supremely gifted and Vince Joy did a steamy stunning "Riptide" a pretty and cool folksy song. Scott Borchette in another of his cool snazzy jackets touchingly told Nick and Clark "I'm proud of both of you saying "our boots are gonna hit the ground," tempting them again with big things for the winner and noted both the top two's singles "Champion" and "Beautiful" are "both killin' it on the charts!" Hot damn, that's so cool. (to be continued)

Steven Tyler sang a gorgeous folksy song--was exhilarating, stimulating, very pretty. Proving he doesn't always have to shriek and scream to make an effect. Jax joined him for a block buster "Walk This Way" which turned into the hard rockin' bluesy hair raisin' "Piece of My Heart" hit by Janis Joplin, ending with the pair prostrating themselves before the judges in an ecstasy of abandon. "You gave me this epic platform" Jax announced. "I love you guys." Clark and Michael McDonald essayed "Takin' It To the Streets" on side by side pianos while the AI house band jammed like crazy, followed by "Back Home" hit for Andy Grammer performed by Grammer and Nick Fradiani, folksy number yet invigorating, stirring. Nick got to perform another Grammer hit with Andy, the number one pop hit "Honey I'm Good" which is quite something. Very rousing. J-Lo, Harry and Keith then took to the stage and showed great professionalism and passion. They really got into it--Harry didn't sing, though, just pounded the ivories. Nick Fradiani wins the whole thing! (Scott Borgetta had called him a "pop hunk" earlier in the season.) Should have known which way the wind was blowing, when Nick got to sing two final songs in a row while Clark was only granted one. Please come back more than one last season, Idol show! --SUSY
