Eriksson salutes England victory Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson was satisfied with England's opening World Cup Group B win over Paraguay in Frankfurt. A third-minute Carlos Gamarra own goal handed England victory and Eriksson said: "I'm pleased to start with a win. "We suffered a bit as it was a very hot day but the most important thing was to get the win and we did that. "We found it difficult to keep the ball in the second half. We will get better in the next match but it was important to open with three points." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2006/teams/england/5038930.stm Official FIFA match report
