What are you thinking right now?

When the Scary Black Man (TM) was president, people on sites such as this told us that he was making America the laughing stock of the world. I never noticed that.
I notice it now.

There is a Political thread here that all the sheeple will hold you high at their alter. That helps keep all the crap like this out of a good thread that can have more readable stuff worthy of this thread. You will be loved there.

Racism is stupid.
'Take it to your hippie friends. That doesn't belong here.'
That belongs everywhere.

The first few videos I heard all had heavily processed vocals and drum machines. I hate drum machines. Eventually, I found some live videos with natural vocals and actual drummers. The sound quality was much worse, since they were fan filmed, but she sounded pretty good. I'll have to find an album and listen to her in detail.

I think I've had my fill of health things for this year now. No more please!

What am I thinking? A three day weekend. No plans. I may even do some home improvements for someone. Perhaps thinking too much about it ... as I continue the work day. (Quick break to explain my typing now).
Whatever I do i am ready for it now ...
Enjoy it to all.

For those who speak and or write other languages very well, I applaud you.
I have only known English. (And even that language I have made mistakes ha ha ha). I learned a bit of C++ and guitar.
I thought that there was no way that you could teach an old dog new tricks (meaning me of course).
I am trying to learn a few languages by an app -
For possible travel to Europe.
I was surprised that I could do some of the lessons well (I didn't think anything new could be pounded into my head).
And then comes the reality of the rules and how words are used and then trying to hear them when they are said "normal" - there is a turtle speed that somewhat helps.
One moment I pat myself on the back on doing well and the next moment I mess up the simple words and it is difficult to identify any sentence.
It is a challenge ... I can learn this/ no I can't ...

I studied French for years. As soon as I could read and write reasonably well, I thought I was fluent. Then I worked in Paris, where everyone speaks at 100 mph. According to the text books, I do well in French. Actual French people, however, knew I was a foreigner a mile away.

Hailey, my problem exactly. I can read it half way decently, but can only get certain words when the French speak it bc they speak so fast. I was having this conversation with a friend who lived in Spain for around a year and she said when you live there for a while it gets much easier to pick up.

Living in a place where everyone speaks the language makes it much easier. I would have never learned Chinese from a CD or app. French is easier, because it's closer to English, but being in France is nothing like sitting in a classroom in Minnesota.

Sometimes going online is so boring and you feel there's mainly just a lot of junk there and some of it's so disgusting. Lately, though, I've had right much fun on the Net. I cringe at some of what I write, that it's silly, embarrassing, pretentious or too hard ass or that I should just be on social activism sites to help effect positive change; but it's just more fun to write about music, and movies, "entertainment" and the Arts, culture both high and pop culture.. I'm usually working, and just read and watch movies, and listen to music, for fun. More reading than anything for fun. I don't have televison (laughs).
