I could install it for free, but I'm not going to. I've had a hard enough time with Windows 8!!

Hi Nancy R!!! How are you? I hope all is well with you. I hear you Nancy R, I went back to Windows 7 Ultimate, I hate Windows 8!!! I heard so much horror stories about Windows 8, many were true, that I went back to Windows 7 Ultimate real quick. I have mixed feelings about Windows 10, I've heard good and bad about Windows 10, however, when I get home, I'm going to try installing Windows 10 in my desktop PC. I'll let you and everyone else here on the forum know how that goes. Take care Nancy R.

I'm fine and hope you are too. Yeah, I almost went back to Windows 7, but I feel fairly comfortable with Windows 8 now. There are just some aspects of Win 7 that I liked better. I've had this new laptop (with Windows since Jan. 2014. Why the heck can't we type the number eight sometimes? Why does that emoticon come up?!

Hi everyone! I have not had any success in downloading Windows 10 in my desktop PC!!! Evidently, there are some conflicts that are preventing me from downloading Windows 10 in my PC. I am still working on it. Has anyone downloaded Windows 10 with ease? If so, I'd like to hear how you did it.

Hi Nancy, Typing the number eight and the right/close parenthesis creates the "cool" emoticon. Leaving a space between the number eight and the right/close parenthesis will produce a standalone number eight. You may also tick the Disable Smilies in this post box prior to submitting your post, but if you have added any emoticons to your post they will be disabled as well. I have edited your post above to produce a standalone number eight by disabling emoticons in that post as you have no other emoticons placed within that post. As to Windows 10, I will be waiting a bit before downloading and installing. Anita

THANK YOU, (((((PAUL)))))!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone had great success in downloading Windows 10 yesterday. As for me, my PC downloaded and upgraded to Windows 10 all by itself late last night. I haven't had a chance to play around with it yet, I'll be doing that later on today when I get home. I'm looking forward to hearing all of your views and opinions of Windows 10. Take care.

I am not trying to be a smart ash about this ..... Is this Free? Or do you have to pay for it after a certain amount of time? Or have to buy the Full version to do anything?

It may be free if you just bought a computer & upgrade from Win 8.

Some people say that if you want your computer and what you do on it to be private, don't install. Other say that it's been like that all them time. It's never been as private as you may think. Then you have those who say it's just paranoia. So, I don't know. Usually I've installed updates without second thought but this time I read opinions and now I'm confused. I have downloaded it but not installed... yet. I probably will.

Hi Hendrix Ibsen!!! How are you? I hear you Hendrix Ibsen, I've heard mixed reviews on Windows 10 myself, I just figured that if I don't like Windows 10, and I already did all of my backups, I could just do a system recovery and get Windows 7 back. I must confess, in my opinion, Windows 10 is a lot better than Windows 7 and 8. I'm just getting a little acquainted with Windows 10, its a little different but I do like Windows 10. Take care.

I've heard that it looks and acts like a phone. If that's true, I'm not interested. I want my computer to look like a computer.

Windows 8 & Windows 8.1 are a major pita! No way am I going to install Windows 10. In fact, I've heard that there are already issues with Windows 10. I have Windows 7 on my netbook & the aggravating Windows 8 on my desktop.

Microsoft collecting data on its users is nothing new: Google, Facebook, Apple, & a number of others do the same. It's like the Government .... I don't like it ... I have Win. 8.1 on one computer & on Win. 7 on the other ... Haven't upgraded yet ... might do so on the Win. 7 ... but I'm taking my time ... thinking about it ..............................
