Rich, I am getting nervous!!!
But seriously, Doc did his job...but nobody hit for the Phillies tonight (and only a handful for the Cardinals for that matter)...to be honest, I thought Utley tied the game there in the 9th inning (wow)
As did we, Rich! That was sooooo disappointing - tough loss!

But anyway, I hope Howard isn't hurt too bad (hopefully not an achillies tendon issue)
Haven't been watching television today, but last we heard they were waiting on an MRI report to confirm an Achilles tendon issue. Looking forward to next season...

Thanks, Anita. Sorry about the Phillies but, frankly, I'm relieved the Crew doesn't have face them again. It should be a great series. I have tickets to game 7, should it last that long.
Great news, you are going to have a blast!!!

I just bought some "Uecker seats" for game 6.

Dave, you're in the house, that's all that matters!!! Looking forward to reading all about your experience!

Btw, it was good to hear Terry 'Tito' Francona as the color commentator during the Rangers/Tigers game last night...it's just a two day stint for him while McCarver recovers from a minor medical procedure...although he was a little rough around the gills (I don't think he's ever done this before), he provided a lot of good insight and even called that Detroit inning ending double play in the first inning before it happened,,,LOL Triplets, I'm sure you remember this guy from way back during his Phillies days

This joke is from a local sports radio station amidst allegations that various Redsox players divulged in beer and fried chicken in the clubhouse during games: 'Why did the chicken cross the road? So Josh Beckett wouldn't eat it'... ops: ***as an aside, I was actually more surprised that this was considered an 'issue' since I thought this kind of stuff was pretty common in clubhouses...but what do I know, I'm not there...LOL

Each of the last two Brewers games I've attended have ended their playoff bids. I think next time I'll go to game 1 instead. I have a feeling the WS may be one of the highest scoring ever. Both teams can really scorch the ball. Can't say I have a favorite. I'm fond of Tony LaRussa but the Rangers have been determined from day one to win it all this time and I suspect they won't be denied.

You can't tell me that Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle never played drunk. The racing sausages probably wouldn't have been safe near the Babe as well.

Well, that last series not so much but they seem to be going in the right direction. It will be interesting to see how things shake down with the Cubs.

At least some don't regard the series as a ratings dud.
