I believe we are in the winter of our idols, and I would prefer a Pinned Obituaries thread for these announcements, else in a separate Obituaries subforum. Put them all in one thread or subforum discreetly. That would make it easier to find as a historical archive, and easier to avoid for those of us who are depressed by the inevitable news.

Hi, As oobu24 has pointed out, she has created a thread for such. No need for pinning as her thread is regularly bumped as these sad happenings occur.
In addition to oobu24's thread, we have always permitted alternate singular obituary threads to be created by those who feel a general obituary thread does not quite serve for a particular beloved hero/idol/artist. We do not keep these threads placed "discreetly" as ultimately we are celebrating our beloved heroes/idols/artists lives and remembering them and their loved ones in death. It is comforting to seek consolation from those of like minds and hearts. Sometimes we can write things here among the like-minded that perhaps we may not or cannot say within the confines of our everyday circles. Members here are saddened by these loses as well. They are here to chat and support should you so desire. It helps to remember the good, talk about great moments, post favorite pictures and videos, recall favorite events, etc. 2016 has not been off to a great start for our beloved heroes/idols/artists, let us hope things progress for the better as the year moves forward!
