Kansas City 1976, the first time I saw Paul live, $50 ticket and I was very close to the stage! Missed my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary to see Paul

Did you tell the the truth about where you were going?

yes $8 at the Cow Palace in 1976. Front dead center if you are a very young teenager moving up to the front . - security rolling their eyes during Call me Back Again and Beware my Love. , deafening loud screaming "OLD" ladies (20 to 30 somethings) on all sides On the second night Paul got hit in the head by a birthday present thrown from the crowd. He resisted anything Beatles as much as possible. He is an incredible performer with his current stuff. . makes one hope he plays "Cut me Some slack" (As if i were able to get a good ticket for this tour ) Lots of offers for "window pane" in the extremely long line around the venue. Venus & Mars opening was as good as the Hello Goodbye opening many years later. One car crash in front of the venue. Everything else is fuzzy.

I was one of the "old" ladies (age 21) screaming in Atlanta. What is "window pane?" Some kind of drug? And I had a fender bender leaving the parking garage at my Paul concert in '76--some idiot rear-ended me.

I was able to see 6 shows from WINGS OVER AMERICA. 2 in Philadelphia, 2 in New York and 2 in Maryland. I remember the very dark stage then VENUS & MARS started then the light slowly was on Paul. I was in AWE! I had seen The Beatles in Atlantic City in 1964 but this was different. I could see Paul. I could HEAR Paul! I still have all of my tickets, programs and tee shirts. These Wings shows were just ELECTRIC.

You were so lucky to have seen him 6 times in 1976! And to think that the total cost of all 6 shows for you was probably only around $60!!

It *was* electric! I wish he would have done V&M that same way. In the dark...then just Paul. OMG! sigh...

May 22,1976..Boston Garden...still have my tickets stub, program and T-shirt...
-
Philly, Boston and NYC, all the shows in those towns. SUM TOTAL of ticket prices for all those shows were a little more than what it cost to buy a couple of t-shirts at today's shows. I remember everyone was upset that the tickets in NYC cost more than any of the other shows, $10.50! Got to meet Denny and Jimmy in NYC, and saw Paul at his hotel a couple of times too.

Yup. Today federal minimum wage is $7.25 and the top tix are $2,000. What's wrong with this picture... 1976 less than 5 hrs pay to buy a top dollar wings ticket. 2014 7 weeks pay to buy a top dollar Macca ticket. Are we gluttons for punishment or what!

I think the musician's & the sports players pay HAS to come down. If pay scales go a lot higher then we can only expect to pay more for what we want. I can't see why a baseball player's (or any sports figure) can't be based on performance. Why keep paying such high salaries if they s u c k? sorry...rant over.

So easy. Opening night, Fort Worth Texas. Wings Over America. As a huge McCartney fan, even I didn't know what to expect. Drove down from Fort Sill, OK and bought my ticket from a scalper for 40 bucks. Was with group of hard core metal heads in the Army. We left in total awe. The wonder of it all baby!

And it seems as times go by that paying face value and lucking out with a seat up close is next to impossible. The ticket scalpers make it much worse!

I paid face value--it's just that for a 3rd row seat, face value is $1500! But with the soundcheck experience and everything else, it is worth it! P.S. The price listed on my ticket actually says $500. So dumb--as if the soundcheck, etc. was worth $1000.
