What Its Really Like In North Korea? do you care?

MILO Meets Michael Malice (on North Korea) interview worth the time ...
-
I think the people there have been so brainwashed, they're almost like robots. What a sad way to live. The majority of them that is. I pity the ones who are still aware enough to realise what a terrible situation they're in. It must be awful to be trapped like that.
-
They probably are not as aware of how bad they have it. I believe things are heavily censored, so what can they compare it to?

Prison - and I think many of them know so. They get a whiff of freedom - across a waterway China (all lit up at night) compared to theirs (all dark). Electricity - not dependable. One lightbulb in their home, if they're lucky. I think the video interview covers much the same. I did see the same topic somewhere else in the news ... I'll try to connect the two (???) if I can. Here's one, I didn't read - just looked over quick: This is the craziest story you'll ever hear out of North Korea http://nypost.com/2016/01/10/how-north-korea-kidnapped-hundreds-brainwashed-them-into-spies/

That story confirmed, people being kidnapped, fed false propaganda and unable to move anywhere without a minder. One woman managed to see an article about her kidnapping and how it aged her father. It seems similar to Cuba, stuck in the past, lacking the ability to modernize and held hostage by a misanthropic leader. Which actually seems to be a fitting label to our own leader. He's denying climate change, science, trying to ruin national parks, safe animal havens, a hater, contemptuous, selfish, bullying his way through world leaders, unfriendly, quitting the Paris accord, firing his staff, not following or retracting the advice of advisors. Are we planning on going backwards, or standing still due to the whims of a leader who does not have the interests of the people he leads, at the forefront...rather puts his own thoughts and interests out front in random tweets.... I can't understand why we would want to blow up a country and its innocent people, all for the ego of one person. These are simple people, living under a regime of total control. Here is where you can see what life is like. So many people only have bikes to get around. There are not many cars. They are simple farmers here, using old fashioned equipment. This country is not a threat, why are we antagonizing a crazy leader of this country? http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/short-film-showcase/north-korea-in-3d-see-rare-photos-of-people-in-the-secret-state?source=searchvideo Here is a sk resort built by the leader. It is a showpiece that is not very used by the people. It's quite empty. There are no people on the upper slopes!! http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/short-film-showcase/this-is-what-its-like-inside-north-koreas-luxury-ski-resort?source=searchvideo Just ordinary people, living their lives...not aware at all of what is going on in the world http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/short-film-showcase/rare-look-inside-north-koreas-capital-city?source=searchvideo

I read Kim is "starving his people" while he luxuriates in the finest things life can offer, materially. I read he's had people close to him murdered in various diabolical Alfred Hitchcock-like ways. How much of this is propaganda, one wonders. Various terrible things you read about him. No, we shouldn't be destroyed because of these two huge egos, nor should their people be destroyed. Millions of innocents
and much of Earth. That would be just too absurd.
-
I believe that North Korea is just one of many horrible regimes on our planet. Yes i care deeply. I am just plain scared.

Life in N. Korea is very different regardless of the poverty. The public is taught (forced) to fight for the country. According to Wikipedia: Their (voluntary) Army at present (2010): 6,515,279 males, age 15-29 (2010), 6,418,693 females, age 15-29 (2010) People in the Army are much better fed than most everyone else. We must not forget the Korean War which left a huge loss of life on both sides.

The Korean war was never finished

Yes, I agree.
-
It never should have begun (the Korean war). Nick Kristoff, N.Y. times journalist, recently visited N. Korea, said they think there that a nuclear attack on their soil is coming and "that it can be survived." That's madness, to think it would be survivable ! Oh dear God

I wonder if there is any type of resistance within "the north". With the stakes as high as they are seems like something would somehow happen to displace the lunatic.
-
They are innocent people, going about their daily business. They have no more control over their leader, than we have in this country, or any other country. When your leader is acting bizarrely, what type of resistance do you feel would keep him from bombing someone?
-
Someone w/ a death wish needs to assassinate their Leader. They would be a hero to the world. I can think of another Leader that needs to go as well?

There are many, many spies within the people _ resistance (no matter how small) is a certain prison or death sentence. People have less obvious ways to resist like not smiling in a picture.

There are a number of people (layers of leadership) who would take over and more or less run things the same way. Killing Kim alone will not likely work.

My family prays for peace especially for the people of the hermit nation one way or another.

Let there be peace...
