It was COLD. He did take it off eventually
It was cold and foggy that night. Daytime was sunny, but not overly warm. The warmest weather of the year in S.F. is in September and October. Hi Marshal.. you going to any of the "Out There" gigs....
Hi Harley, How are you? Maybe. There's rumors going around that Paul will headline the Outside Lands concerts in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park in August. Odds are it might be cool and foggy again for that show. Brazil and Rome sound like they could be interesting places to attend a Paul concert. Are you going to any of the Out There shows, too, Harley? Marshall P.S.I'm looking forward to the new Wings Over America and Rock Show releases out at the end of May.
lol Marshal put your cursor after the quote..... than type yeah, I dunno I think Outside Lands would be warm...I'll camp out if they let me.. cos id take the train in thats a huge event never been know Stevie Wonder & Neil Young were headliners last year.. I think OSL is going to happen... Yes! going to Warsaw- Verona & Vienna 1st time ever in that part of the world! countries...time & money you know I'm on a beer budget gonna make it happen .... after 12-12-12 gig & SNL gig I didn't think Id see Paul again anytime soon.... ops: was gutted... thought about Bonaroo,.. but solo... and getting out there to venue impossible for me ops: so excited for Europ!!!!! ackkkk Wings Over America not being shown here where I live never saw it.... 12 yrs as a member here & you 11 yrs I just realized this today but you hardly post!!! ps going "Out There" to Europe reminds me of Geoff Baker, I can hear his voice now, "harley, darling, what are you doing here? teasing like he always does,.... shoot, I think it worth it to go to Europe if you can Marshal

Harley, wow, you were at the Sandy Relief (12/12/12) and SNL appearance in December? That must have really been something (sort of like the McCartney song of the same name). With Sandy, I was hoping my two musical favorites, Paul and Bruce Springsteen, would team up again like the Hyde Park concert last year. Didn't happen. You're right. I haven't posted here in a while. I've been lurking at the site. And I'm glad you brought up my 11 years, and your 12, on the board. I also realized yesterday that the Paul show I went to in Berkeley took place 23 years ago today, and the Oakland Driving Rain show I was at will be ten years tomorrow. Time flies! Marshall

I'm still holding out small hope that Paul will actually be playing AT&T again or Candlestick. I'm not too keen on Outside Lands and call me crazy, but I want to be able to see and hear Paul. I really don't want to have to battle with thousands of other people just to try and be able to see him in Golden Gate Park. I'd rather have my assigned viewing spot as I'm very short. And just getting to GGP for Outside lands is a huge headache. Buses full, cabs taken, it's a battle!

It was Paul, no Wings, at the two Berkeley shows in 1990. His band consisted of him, Linda, Hamish Stuart (ex-Average White Band), Robby McIntosh (formerly of The Pretenders),Chris Whitten, and Wix. I was fortunate to get my two tix for Berkeley concert night one through the much missed McCartney/Wings Fun Club. The Wings show was in June 1976 at the Cow Palace. I would've loved to have been there.

oh OK... I bet it was awesome & the setlist was? btw...when Paul toured w/Linda I always thought them as Wings reguardless of who the current band line up was ~ ps to quote copy what I write. hit -quote than paste- than quote

Ahhh....I remember that night so well! July 2010. It still makes me smile every time I think of it. It was chilly that night...typical for "the city". Paul made a comment about leaving his jacket on for so long, but he took it off eventually...much to the delight of the crowd. I still have the clip of my sign getting on the Jumbotron..."Fan of Macca for 46 years".

I agree about the Outside Lands comments.I'd be happy to be proved'wrong, but I don't see Paul playing AT&T or Candlestick this summer. In the wishful thinking category, for history sake, wouldn't it be something if Paul did play at Candlestick again before the stadium gets demolished next year? Then, he could play the 49er's new Santa Clara stadium when it opens in 2014, ala Citi Field in New York.
