ABC Invokes First Amendment In ‘Bachelor’ Racism Lawsuit

I've watched both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette a few seasons. I have mixed feelings about the shows. This comment posted to the article, below, pretty much sums up my opinion: "i?ve tuned in for a few episodes this year, watching with my gf, and it didn?t take me long to wonder why there weren?t any Black or Hispanic (or Asian for that matter) guys on the show? and, if it?s true that it?s ongoing ?problem,? then yes, i?m curious to know why that?s been the case." http://www.deadline.com/2012/06/abc-invokes-first-amendment-in-bachelor-racism-lawsuit/

I haven't watched either show in ages, but didn't they have a few black guys thrown in here & there (but of course never got the final rose!) Audi, remember the gay bachelor version where a guy picked from a group of 20 guys?

Boy Meets Boy -- Yeah...I remember it. It's on YouTube, actually. And if I recall correctly, the (one and only) black guy on that show didn't have a chance either. And he was a well-built biologist!

One of the best reality shows I've seen was VH-1's Wedding Wars, which was a Survivor-type competition for engaged couples. The diversity of the casting was stellar. I wish more reality shows could feature diversity like this. You can watch last year's entire season here: http://www.vh1.com/shows/wedding_wars/series.jhtml
