"WILD" starring Reese Witherspoon

At the beginning of the film, Reese's character Cheryl Strayed (based on the real Cheryl Strayed and her book) checks into a hotel, sees this hunk of a guy in the parking lot of the hotel, and imagines having sex with him (she does a nude scene
) during the first verse of the song, "Let'em In" by Wings. Reese is also one of the producers of this film and was nominated for Best Actress at the recent 87th Annual Academy Awards. Ironically nominated against Rosemund Pike who starred in "Gone Girl," produced by Reese Witherspoon. -
I'll have to keep an eye open for that one to come to xfinity.

A bit rough and hard to watch some scenes. As Reese said herself, she's never been in anything like this before. I'll say. Having read the book, I wanted to see this, but might only view it once or twice more. It lives up to its title (laughs)--is really wild. I wish she'd remarked on the beauties and glories of nature on the Pacific Coast Trail more. Some stunning nature scenery, and she just gazed at it and didn't really revel and express wonder and awe. Of course, her character, Cheryl Strayed (a real woman who wrote the memoir "Wild") was deeply depressed by the recent death of her mother. She threw herself into hedonism as distractions. Witherspoon's new movie "Hot Pursuit" has been called a bomb. I still want to see it, I guess.

Think the only film I've seen with her in a lead role, is the one about Johnny Cash. She plays June Carter. It was an okay film but far too sentimental. Life is not sentimental. It is hard and brutal just like human nature.
