This is a new site going live today (which, as we all know, probably means teething probelms so patience might be required... ) which shows historic photos of Britain from the air. It's been run by the bods at English Heritage (a fine bunch of men and women who are top class professionals, when you can get 'em away from the real ale and dry roasted nuts.... ). http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/about/news/britain-from-above/ Thanks to the hard work and sacrifices made by types like yours truly ( : ) these wonderful photos are now accessible to the masses.......fabulous B&W photos from the 20th century..... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2164074/Britain-Above-Thousands-historic-aerial-photographs-online-time-today.html

Holy Moly!! Instead of hanging around this sweaty armpit of a site waiting for something interesting to happen, I urge those with taste and intellect (is there any other kind of poster on here? Macca.com doesn't deal in entertaining the hoi palloi ) to switch over to britainfromabove.org.uk......there are some truly corking photos for those who are interested in that kind of stuff. And if you're not check it out anyways.... It may take a while coz they've been inundated with people gasping for a peek.....but if you stroll over now and again on the off chance, eventually you'll be rewarded.
