I'd missed the news about Lisa Loring from "The Addams Family." I was totally hooked on that show as a kid. I even negotiated a later bedtime with my parents for the night it was on so I could stay up and watch it.

I watched every episode too! Just checked and it was on at 8:30pm on Friday nights 1964-1966 so I was 9-11 years old then - no problem staying up until 9! There were only 2 seasons, but a total of 64 episodes!

        https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Addams_Family_(1964_TV_series)#:~:text=For both seasons%2C episodes aired,nights at 8%3A30 pm.

Hi everyone! I don't know if anyone posted the passing of both Jeff Beck and Lisa Marie Presley! Losing Jeff Beck is a major loss for Rock n' Roll. Losing Lisa Marie Presley at age 54 is sad seeing that she was Elvis Presley's Daughter and only child as far as we know!

Composer Burt Bacharach, Smooth Virtuoso of 1960s Pop, Dies at 94

He broke the rules but remained steadfast to one principle: The melody must be acceptable to the average listener. “His songs are a lot more musical than the stuff we write — and a lot more technical,” Paul McCartney told Newsweek in 1965. (Five years later, Bacharach would become the rare composer to grace the cover of the magazine.)

Burt Backache was a real classy writer. Never realised he was so old, though.

Yes they are all passing away. Burt Backache. Now Raquel Squelch. Is Pull Anchor still going? He's from that generation also.

Sigh... the stars from my childhood are slipping away. When Julie Andrews goes, I'm going to lose it completely.

@bruce-m I think only Paul’s passing will affect me that way. I’ve spent almost 60 years wanting to meet him and just give him a hug. The older we both get, that “bucket list” item has slipped away, I’m afraid. 😢

Yup. Gotta feeling ( a feeling deep inside ) that Macca will be only the second celebrity ( no prizes for guessing the first I'm afraid) that will make me shed a tear, on his passing. That man has been a shining example of how a celebrity should handle their "celebrity". His family too. No massive rehab programmes ( that I have ever read of ) for any of them. They all went out and got jobs. All level headed. All went to State schools ( same as me, and other working class folks) Other celebrity's could do well to take a leaf out of his book. It truly has been a blast!! I hsve enjoyed every single second of it. I just made the mistake of thinking it would last forever. And I CERTAINLY didn't think the year's would go by so fast!!!😳
