I had a junior high teacher who had a burgundy 67 GTO with black tuck n roll interior and black 5 spoke mag wheels. I was in teenage motorhead awe!!! My cousin bought a brand new silver 1970 GTO 400 4-Speed complete with red striped tiger paw tires in the day! Sweet!

We also had a Datson 280Z 1975. I remember it cost sooo much I didn't want to tell my parents. You had to get on a waiting list for them back then.

any dodge charger will do. Never flip, strongest engines. chevys are the most easiest to work on and get parts for so I have been told. Til the eightys now people have to know electronics to fix a car, might as well just buy another.

Ironically, and totally out of the blue, my brother sent me a picture of an early 60's Volvo that he ran across at an artshow yesterday! I had sold him my 63 Volvo years ago and he drove it for a year or two way back when. Datsun 280 Z's were cool...haven't seen one in ages! My friend's girlfriend let him and I drive her Triumph Spitfire once. We are both a little over 6 feet tall and Spitfires a very small sports cars. The steering wheel was right up to my chest and the windshield was just about a foot away from my face and the clutch brake and gas footpedals were so close together it was hard to use them individually with our big feet and shoes! As far as Dodge Chargers and Chrysler products go... I had an early 60's Plymouth 4 door at one time. It was a very solid and smooth running cruise mobile. My youngest brother also had an early 70's Plymouth RoadRunner for awhile. It was quite the hotrod!

Datsun 280 Z's were cool...haven't seen one in ages! I picked one of those up for about 600 dollars once. Rust bucket front spring popped right up through the hood. Glad I was in the driveway not the highway. Actually I think I still owed 100 on it. He never complained.

They did have a reputation of not lasting very long...unfortunately!

I have a 1979 Corvette. Silver with a red interior. I've owned it for the last 13 years.

WOW!!! 100's of vintage mid 50's thru mid 60's chevrolets were recently discovered in a field in Nebraska. Some with less than 10 miles on them...and some with the delivery invoice sticker still on the window! All from a closed down dealership and all arranged and spaced neatly in a large field. The story behind them is amazing!!! We car lovers will be happily in shock! Here's a video about it... A Corvette with 4.4 miles on the odometer. A 1958 Chevy Cameo pickup truck with 1.3 miles. A 64 chevy impala tudor hardtop 327 3 speed with 4.3 miles. And, the list goes on and on. IT'S UNBELEVEABLE! Here's the video...

This auction is AMAZING......496 cars!!! The woman that came all the way from Australia to participate...... She didn't even know how she was going to get the car home.......LOVE it!!! The guy that brought the cheese from Wisconsin...... I am a bit surprised at some of the elevated bids, very interesting!
-
^ I saw both of those segments! All the guys were falling in love with the Australian girl...and they couldn't understand why the the guy brought the cheese to them...they thought that maybe he didn't like theirs! It's An Iconic Historical Event!

I thought Rutledge was cute when he indicated that all the guys out there were wondering if she was single.

They're now interviewing the woman from Australia!

They're now interviewing the woman from Australia!
They asked her to send video of the restoration and she told them that they should come to Australia! "Best Shrimp In The World", she said!
-
^ I have a feeling that they will stay in touch with her and follow up on her story. My favorite story of the auction is the guy that bought back his own car - now that is cool!
