I'll Have Another Scratched From Race

I was stunned this morning to hear that odds favorite "I'll Have Another" has been pulled from tomorrow's race in New York. He was trained just a 100 miles from where I live & we were all rooting for him and his Jockey. Sooooo close to winning the Triple Crown. Sniff.......
What a beautiful horse. I hope his tendon injury isn't really serious. -
I heard about that too. Poor thing. The owner had NO INSURANCE for this winning horse so now he can put that beautiful animal out for stud at least. I heard he was bought for $35,000.00 and is now worth 6 million! If he had won the triple crown??? But OTOH if he had lost...

The jockey has announced he is coming back here to the training stables, and intends to not only stay here, but apply for Canadian citizenship.
He's so good, we'll be hearing about him again, on another winning horse. But I'll Have Another will have a pretty good retirement I guess. -
