The Union flag as symbolising the poitical union of England and Scotland, is the union of the cross of st george and st andrew. The Union flag as we know it today came about with the Union of England , Scotland and Ireland with the addition of the cross fo st patrick. It therefore follows that upon dissolution of the union the flag would be changed by the disappearance of the cross of st andrew. So Forsyth is correct and Alan Cumming and Alex Neil are wrong to stay it wouldnt change and that scotland would still be British. As has happened all too frequently the scots nationalists are being disingenuous to say the least, or in plain speak just plain old lying again.

funny how these english sorts get so worked up about scots independance . if we are so much 'better off ' IN the union of THE UK then you would think more english types would be glad to see the back of us hence more of the juicy union pie to be shared between the english and whoevers left.?
